Wasn't a sitter but for someone who's supposed to be a finisher should be hitting the target (was off target before the block took it for a corner). Scores a goal which was questionably dissalowed. I don't think it was some vintage number 9 performance but he made it look like we were playing with one again. Didn't do much with Joselu on the pitch, and was absolutely pointless without him on the pitch. Oh and he had our only clear cut chance at goal and totally messed it up. If that had been Joselu, Mitrovic or Perez they would have been slaughtered. An unpopular opinion but Gayle is 3rd choice for me behind Mitrovic then Joselu. Honestly cannot see how we could ever be serious about playing Joselu up top ever again tbh. If Gayle is capable of playing 90 then he'll score more.
