Must be shit to have hopes of making the National Premier (if they were allowed) to facing a return to the Northern Premier League in 10/11 months. They play some smashing football but York clearly came for a point and couldn't believe their luck when they broke away to make it 1-0 after about half an hour. After that they just packed 11 men behind the ball which ruined the game as a spectacle with Gateshead struggling to break them down. John Askey has left Hartlepool as well, so 5 of the 6 NE clubs at steps 1 and 2 have had a change of manager this week, and the other (Gateshead) has an interim manager.
