Liked what is as From that podcast episode. Tough childhood. Has a real resolution about him that some of the others (Gordon) could learn from.  
 

I’ve been one of his biggest defenders.  But he’s done at this level for us.

That's when you're seeing the decline, a yard off it. however as someone else has said, if Eddie thinks he still has a role to play then I'm not questioning Eddie's judgement. He sees Callum everyday and knows him better than anyone.

 

By now we should have all learnt not to doubt Eddie.

I agree, its pretty obvious with all the injury woes and age catching up, but in his defence we likely aren't seeing a match fit Wilson and he would take a run of games to get that edge back.

 

Bit like Willock, we can't afford to just give a run of games (that they need to try and get back to their best) to a player that essentially drags us down and in that case they/we are in a catch 22 because they are using up a squad place.

About 6 minutes into this you can see when Wilson goes to the centre of the pitch to applaud the fans. It really wound me up watching that because you could hear people singing his song, and it was totally drowned out by the bloody music. How shite are we at this stuff? Just blaring music over any sort of post match atmosphere.

 

I know negotiations are ongoing with Wilson but I'd like it if we sorted stuff like this out before the final game and gave players like him a proper moment in the stadium, similar to what Liverpool do, rather than players like Wilson applauding the crowd while Go West by the Pet Shop Boys blasts out at full volume.

Think the behind the scenes stuff could be a factor.  And I think Wilson’s recent performances haven’t helped.
