et tu brute
Usual case, by far the better team, missing final ball/chances and then conceding due to shocking defending
Cclay
I'd agree. Well on top but the defending on the two goals, and in general, had been poor. Both their wingers are getting in / past our defenders with ease. Defenders thinking they have much more time than they do, being passed / run past too easily, poor positioning. Also, we really need to buy someone who can play in the box / take a long shot that isn't a weak one into the keeper's hands. toontownman
While another promotion would have been ace, another year to develop here is fine. We would another very large turnover if we went up imo. That's not ideal to stay up and everyone to gel. Incremental change with the team growing as a whole is good. A handful or top quality additions in the summer and then hopefully less turnover necessary when we eventually go up.

Cclay Posted Sunday at 13:53 Share Posted Sunday at 13:53 The passing for the second goal was great. Lumsden's third was a corker. Missed Hayle's first. Against lesser opposition but it's good to see them score more freely.

JT24 Posted Sunday at 14:59 Share Posted Sunday at 14:59 (edited) Nice to see Sibley get a feature, feel like she hasn’t gotten much playing time recently. I imagine she’ll be back to Palace next season though? Edited Sunday at 15:07 by JT24

Paullow Posted Sunday at 21:22 Share Posted Sunday at 21:22 Just had a look at the tier 3 and 4 tables. Ipswich effectively promoted from the Southern League as they are 3 points clear and a +36 GD over Hashtag with only 1 game left, and in our old league, Nottingham Forest, who also went professional this season, look 99% nailed on for promotion. They are level on points with Wolves with a +10 GD, Forest have 2 games left, Wolves only 1 and Forest's next match is against already relegated Stourbridge who have a terrible GD. I thought Portsmouth were nailed on for relegation in our current league, but seems they have had a bit of a revival and it will be very close between them and Sheff Utd. In the 4th tier (North), where we were 2 years ago, it's also extremely tight. Boro and Cheadle both on 48 points with one game to go. Cheadle had a +3 GD advantage this morning and won their match 1-0, but Boro won 7-0 to leapfrog them with a +3 adv. Cheadle play already relegated Fylde on the final day (who were in our league last year, so back to back relegations for them), so Cheadle will be looking for a similar big win, and too hard to call.
