  1. I don't think ffp will come in to it. We are averaging 10 times the attendances that half the championship are getting and only the top 4 or 5 in the WSL can match or beat our crowd levels. I think this season we will grow from 3k to 5/6k averages and will only be behind Arsenal in crowd level averages by the time we make the WSL. There is no other club that can enhance the WSL like we can and the WSL will want us to be up there. Every club in the WSL has to have cash put in to survive so they can't bring ffp in until they are self sufficient. The mens game wouldn't dare put the women's costs in to current PSR as it would shut down the WSL. The lasses will get there in a couple of years without immediate wholesale changes. I hope the club will be happy with just evolving. I know the fans are.
  2. It's going to be interesting how she develops the team. We have played a high line back 3, in a 343 and the defence has had very little to deal with due to the front pressure and midfield block. We may have to go to a more rigid back 4 and play 433. I don't go with the massive changes required thought. I can see 4 or 5 coming in but not all starters. I expect if going 433 that the defence will be Watts , Bedeau, Potts and Cataldo. Boddy , Kelly and Stobbs in midfield with Lumsden and Barker as 2 of the front 3. That just leaves 2 starters and squad enhancers required. I will be very disappointed if 6-8 starters are brought in this summer. Palace have dropped 18 points to win the league so I hope we give them a chance and see the league at Christmas and make a transfer push then if required. We are better than most think and Becky Langley is too.
  3. Just got home and I think Becky Langley will have confirmed a few exits today. The players who came in didn't step up and we had no cutting edge. I know they will have been rusty with the lack of game time but Dodds, Elson, Soulsby and Galloway couldn't create any clear cut chances. It was totally one sided but no cutting edge or final through balls. Watt, Stobbs, Greenwood, Boddy and Kelly all played well enough but Barker and McQuade were fighting for scraps and it didn't improve when Bailey Gayle and Galloway came on. Shame they can't get to the 60 points. On a side note 7 balls were lost today in peoples gardens and woodland. The pitch was terrible and their keeper was player of the match.
  4. About 20 attempts to nil. Unfortunately the wingers haven't created anything worthwhile. Think Lumsden and Bailey Gayle will come on soon for Elson and Dodds. Bartle very rusty. Will score plenty in the second half. Halifax have had no attempts
  5. Struggling to create anything clear cut but had about 15 attempts to nil. Agree Greenwood is a great player
  6. Could have scored 3 in the first 5 mins but slowed down a bit since then. Hannah greenwood playing in the pottsy role. Back 6 playing very fluid and changing about continuously but Kacie and Dodds not playing as well as the wingers normally do.
  7. Be interesting without Charlotte Potts offensively as well as defensive. She starts off that many attacks. Hopefully Jodie Bartle will pick up and fill in well. Could be an interesting game. We should have more than enough but it will be great if we have to score 6 cos they've got 5
  8. It will be either Katie or Jasmine mcQuade. Hope it's Katie. Must be 2-300 here. Ground is atrocious.
  9. I'm down at the game. Another great turn out. Looks like Katie Barker as centre forward
  10. Explain to me how the shard, the guerkin, canary wharf, every Newcastle high rise student accommodation etc that's been built over the last 20 years doesn't affect listed building light levels but sjp will. The whole argument is flawed. It's like architectural wokeness. By the way they didn't go to jail for pulling down the buildings. If I remember it was more fiscal than that.
  11. The amount of listed buildings that were demolished for the central motorway and Eldon Square show that for a "project that improves the city" progress should not be halted. I haven't heard anyone say just demolish leazes terrace buts let us move it to a new location. St James Park is the greatest building in our city and home to the greatest company in our city. Arguements for bandstands, parkland and for moving terraced houses shouldn't be detrimental to the business that provides everything to the city. For christ sake there is a stone in elswick pool commemorating the listed building Elswick Hall that was demolished to build the pool. If it's ok for elswick baths it's ok for nufc
  12. With a fully fit squad we would be at the bare minimum, clear in 4th. If ffp/PSR is really an issue I would rather have a financial reset and clear out the Dummetts, Ritchie's, Targetts, Dubravkas who are a level below and replace them with out of contract players and keep the core of the squad for next season without spending a fortune. Surely next season can't be as bad injury wise. The thought of selling Trippier is in my mind ridiculous. With a front 6 of Bruno, Tonali, joelinton, Gordon, isak and Barnes leaves great cover and the best front six in the league in my opinion. That would mean adequate defensive cover and a younger keeper required. We don't need major spending
