Just a pure dark and dingy shithole. Same game as my first ever away game. It was in the build up towards Christmas, works party was on the same day. I was due to work but everyone got given the night off and I put in a holiday for half my shift. I asked my manager if he would be pissed if I went, and he said he would be. I think I would have got in trouble for it if a supervisor hadn’t also sacked the Christmas party off and came with me. My mate, another lad from work who got a bus down was on TV throwing giant Christmas decorations across the stand, he’d nicked them off the Christmas tree from the pub next door. I remember turning up to what seemed like Silverlink. No Wigan fans to be seen, even 20 minutes before KO, just before KO though they came in to the stadium and it looked like they just escaped our away end outnumbering them. On the way back the police blocked off the way we came in, so I ended up following one of our supporters busses, seemed to only go down the street and then we were passing Bolton’s stadium. It depends on the terms but technically yes completely possible, he could argue that wolves misrepresented the situation and he would not have proceeded to sign but for that misrepresentation.
