Spurs were much more in it in the 1st half. After they scored, in the most un-Spursy way ever they successfully shut up shop. ManU didn't have the cutting edge to score.

I do honestly believe if Spurs needed a goal they would have got forward a lot more and do I think they'd have caused ManU problems if they had needed to.

I can't see them sacking Ange now. Levy has zero ambition and he'll be in dreamland with the CL money coming in. he won't want to spend any of it on compo.

not that Spurs will ever really be a threat, but it's a good outcome for us.

It reeks of Ten Hag winning the FA Cup. The right thing to do is to give him a bit more time, but I think it'll go pear shaped very quickly and they'll have someone like Iraola in by Christmas.

Watching Rio and his mates after the match make excuse after excuse for Amorim. It was ridiculous.  New formation, no transfer window, busy schedule nonsense.

I was reminded this week while listening to a  podcast about Palace and Glasner. Different level of club I know but he took over from Hodgson in February 2024 and won 7  league games out of 14 from then until the end of the 23/24 season.  Amorim has only won 6 league games.

Glasner also implemented a 3-4-3 formation, changing form Hodgson's old school approach.

Typical Rio drivel.

I'm not saying Amorim couldn't do better, but we really need to stop comparing the expectation and pressure at clubs like Palace and Wolves to that of Manchester United. It's not the same.

There is a comparison to be made as both of these clubs appointed mangers who came in to their respective clubs and adapted to what they had. Club stature, expectations and pressure haven't dictated what Amorim did. If anything he went against the traditions of the club.

This stubbornness has led to them needing more new players and more time to get his ideas across. The outcome of this season has been shambolic from the managers point of view. All because of his refusal to change. He has not got that team playing anywhere near their potential.
