Just asking like, do you think the earth is flat?

No real reason, just curious.

I believe we live under a firmament, as per the bible, yes, and as per many documents by the fbi, living on a flat, non-rotational earth. Don't judge me

Well, I believe the bible, that God created us and not a completely random event that created a whole system which worked in perfect tandem, and a body that can heal itself and have stuff like emotion and such like. I believe in a creator, you believe in a complete fluke by the looks of things, but that's fine. I can't disprove you, and you'll never take away my faith

When he created the universe and the billions and billions of planets, how many did he populate? Any thinking human probably wouldn't answer "one".

I'm sure Guehi will come out with a statement tomorrow saying that he doesn't want any gay players in the sport. After all, he clearly wanted to tell the world that, and he wasn't worried about going public with it. Waiting for the statement now.

But he never said he populated other planets. Not once

Of course you can't disprove me, because I can literally prove the big bang happened. I can do the maths. I can talk you through any aspect you disagree with. I've actually researched this as part of my physics degree.

You've picked the wrong example I'm afraid.

The big bang happened.  It happened 13.8 billion years ago. We can even still hear it (Google Penzias and Wilson). It is beyond any scientific doubt.

All you can possibly argue is "well maybe God started it?" but that's genuinely all you've got.

Mate I love you, but you are utterly mental.

However, I respect that, all power to you and your beliefs.

Not that it matters, but I have a telescope.

Oh my fucking god. I'll absolutely judge you. Sorry I can't debate anything with you anymore, I'm out. You're clearly either a troll, or completely incapable of rational thought and discourse.

Have a nice day.

This is a strange response. It's a pretty simple thing. Captains being asked to wear the armband to show support for LGBTQ athletes. Why would you not want to?

Because I cannot be arsed with these wrongthink litmus tests anymore, and people bending themselves into pretzels in order to sling shit across the table.

Somehow you are allowed to be a hypocrite but Guehi isn't? He absolutely doesn't want gay men in football because he wrote I Love Jesus on a pride flag? You know this.

How can anyone be fucked with  this man?

I don't believe you, mate. How don't you know it was 12.9 million years ago? It's fine to believe in what you want you want, even if the truth will shatter your beliefs

I was a pediatric nurse in an ICU. If there is a God, then based on what I have seen - in just one job, in just one place - he/she/it is an evil, vindictive cunt. No dissertation involved, just watching children die in unbearable agony. And if you believe the Bible then (predictably, but it still holds) talk me through Leviticus.

Edit: sorry, this isn’t the place, sure there’s a thread somewhere.

The Guehi thread has really evolved even further since the summer! The saga continues..

If all the performatively outraged amazing people are serious about wanting not to have players who even think this kind of thing because of their religious sensibilities (let's be honest, they're not, but park that for a second), at least be honest with yourselves what that means in terms of signing players from, for example, Africa whether they be Muslim or Christian.

Please don't pretend you're stupid enough to think that e.g. Mo Salah doesn't believe exactly the same as Sam Morsy does. The Premier League wants to have its cake and eat it, it wants to be the global league but it also wants to force certain aspects of Western secular liberalism on the players. Some of them simply aren't going to have it while some of them will privately resent it but go along for an easy life. You can call them names if you want but it's not going to change.

Clearly I don't believe in the big man, but if you are up there Superman, can you let Newcastle win a Trophy.

Fun fact, the odds of us winning something is statistically identical to there being a God

Probably the crux of it. Forced into denial by religious bigotry.
