Baggio
Could have been a lot worse.
Guest nufc_geordie
Good draw for us, anything at home is a bonus. Shame Arsenal weren't away to Bolton, but that means that another 2 from the league top 6 will be knocked out of the cup. I'm quite glad a few of the lower division clubs got drawn against each other meaning they will be represneted in round 5, hopefully an easyish draw for the toon providing we cross the current obstacles infront of us!!! Ashley17
Yes, that was the first thing that struck me - there's going to be a lot of championship and lower sides in round 5. Chester or Swansea Barnet/Colchester/Peterbrough/Plymouth Derby/Bristol Rovers Palace/Preston Blackpool/Norwich Wolves/Oldham/WBA That means at least 6 of the last 16 are outside the top flight, plus any shocks that take place (Us vs Brum (not counting any chickens :winking:), QPR/Luton vs. Blackburn, Bristol City/Coventry vs. Boro/Hull being the ones that leap out at me.) Guest
I'll take that Bolton and Portsmouth both away to Arsenal/Man U too If only they were at home, I'd fancy two upsets there.
Rob W
Hmmm NUFC @ home W5 D3 L3 Reading away W3 D2 L6 and they are 5 places above us.............. and they have two quick wingers not so easy IMHO
Yorkie
Not easy but we should beat them. Don't write Burnley off, mind. Good draw in many respects, really. Winnable home one for us, and some big guns could face elimination. And if they don't, Bolton and Portsmouth will both be welcome departures from the competition. Can't wait for the Brum replay now. toontownman
Reading at home will be a real test, as it was earlier in the season. Being at home is a great advantage though. Lets just get past the brum first.
ChezGiven
Hmmm NUFC @ home W5 D3 L3 Reading away W3 D2 L6 and they are 5 places above us.............. and they have two quick wingers not so easy IMHO Our cup form has been remarkable this year. As i said to the lad next to me before the Spurs game 'I've got a feeling...' which as you know is the best basis to form any sort of opinion. Yorkie
most peeps on here will think weve got the cup in the bag already.... Good draw though. What a load of shit. Name me ONE person on this board who genuinely thinks we are going to win the FA Cup. You won't find many, and those you do find, are either blind or just stupid. Rob W
thousands man, thosuands well established fact that all Geordies think of nowt else come January heard on teh BBC every year since 1956 - must be right
ohmelads
Happy enough with that draw, we're playing at home and we'll be favourites. When I saw Chelsea pop up I feared the worst. Of course it won't be easy, but if we can't beat Reading or Burnley at home we don't deserve to be in the cup anyway.
Cajun
Tough draw IMO, yes we are at home but Reading are having a very good season (think they will bear Burnley). We could have done better but its not the worst.
kevin doyle
Reading intend to play the reserve team in the cup so you may face Burnley.
