Neill's on 70k a week, someones bound to get him on the cheap

Seriously? Find that very dubious, personally. Football Manager?

It was £60kpw, or as reported by every single media source in the UK when he signed.

Should people not believe it because he was a high earner at Blackburn, out of contract, WHU were desperate and Lucas Neill was in a great position to get megabucks.

FM as bought would have him at Blackburn, and no transfer so really a bit of a NE5 snide comment there.

See those names you've mentioned, they are stars. West Ham don't have anyone in that caliber except Tevez, Nedved will be retiring soon as well the filthy b******.

It was meant to see it in some perspective! Everyboday knows only Tevez is a worlds class star player.

Does anyone remember this from the summer?

You really are an arrogant bunch, aren't you :winking:  Do you seriously think you can cherry pick any of our players just like that? (certainly sounds it the way you are talking).  There is no reason any of our players would want to leave to join Newcastle, you can offer them nothing that we can't, at this moment in time.  Both our teams are competing for the same things - top 10 finish, good domestic cup run, and qualification into Europe.  OK, you have a bigger ground, but that's all you have better than us.

And I'm pretty damn sure, our players would rather be playing for a manager like the dynamic, ambitious Pardew than Roeder.

We paid £2.5m for Yossi, and quite possibly the best £2.5m ever spent by WHU.  He is superb, can play either wing but best when given licence to roam.  He creates goals out of nothing, scores terrific goals too (a la v. Villa, Fulham, Spuds).  IF he were to leave, it would be to go to a BIG club like Liverpool or Arsenal, someone who could offer him CL.  But just like all our other players, he is not for sale (although he does have a very greedy agent - aren't they all? - who appears to be "leaking" rumours to the press about interest in Yossi from the Gooners and Scousers in the a hope we will up his contract!).

As for Konchesky, NRC, Harewood, Ashton, Etherington, Ferdinand etc. etc. they will all be starting in the claret & blue again this season.

I think it's about time Mr. Roeder set his sights away from the East End of London.

Would be suprised if Mr Roeder does anything but set his sights on West Ham's "star" players this summer. Expecting at least one player from West Ham to be signed, although apart from Tevez and maybe Ashton for a reasonable fee (£5m max, bearing in mind hes a bit of a crock) I hope we dont bother with any of that lot.
