Bramble back for Chelsea

Watching most Newcastle games, I have to say that IMO Bramble is the best defender we have.

It seems his cock ups are focused on so much more than anyone else's, to the delight of likes of Mark Lawrenson and many on here who love blaming Titus for anything which goes wrong defensively.

 

He makes occasional cock ups. All NUFC defenders make occasional cock ups. All defenders make occasional cock ups. Sol Campbell, Ferdinand, Tony Adams even Bobby Moncur made cock ups.

Many on here sing the praises of Woodgate, granted a good defender when he can be bothered, but do we remember his HUGE cock up which effectively cost us no less than a place in the Champions League and tens of millions versus Partizan Belgrade. Imagine Titus had done that !

 

No Bramble aint perfect, there never has been and never will be a perfect defender but he's better than any other CB on our books at present, including the vastly over rated and prone to occasional psycho moment Taylor.

Problem with Titus is when he makes a cock up its a big one! He does tend to get punished for a majority of his aswell. A lot of people won't acknowledge that when he is on form he is an immense defender but I agree with those who don't think he should be here because he isnt consistant enough for a first team place. My hope is that we sign at least 2 players who are better in the summer though and I can't see this happening.
