Just wouldn't get your hopes up because I can't see it happening.

Pearson will be GONE...I bet you on that if you want...

People don't genuinely think that it's pure coincidence that we end up with the 'temperamental sulks' while Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool, by and large, get the players with the "right" attitude do they?

Can you imagine how Roeder would have handled the Rooney/Ronaldo situation at Man Utd last August?

Sell one for £5m and send the other to Celtic on loan.

Hehehehe spot on...Great example too...

DARK SIDE OF THE TOON!

Allardyce is walking into a Newcastle player revolt Watford 1 Newcastle 1

By Neil Mcleman 14/05/2007

SAM ALLARDYCE will inherit a Newcastle dressing room in chaos this week.

Charles Nzogbia was dropped from the bench for disciplinary reasons and top scorer Obafemi Martins "declared himself unfit" for the final game at Watford.

In a game more like a testimonial for the departing home keeper Ben Foster, Kieron Dyer lit up the low-key occasion with a finish of high class - and gave Newcastle their first goal in 320 painful minutes.

Only a harsh penalty award by referee Rob Styles - and converted by Marlon King - denied the Toon ending another season of turmoil with a win to welcome Allardyce's appointment this week.

But if the former Bolton boss wants to win silverware on Tyneside in the future, he has got work to do on and off the pitch. For most of this season, some of the players looked like they didn't want to play for Glenn Roeder. After his resignation last week, nothing seems to have changed.

Nzogbia briefly left Vicarage Road before returning after caretaker boss Nigel Pearson, who will discover this week if he has a future at the club, decided his attitude was unacceptable. The England Under-21 coach was equally unimpressed by Martins' decision to reveal his knee injury on the eve of the game.

"Charles was on the bench originally and I changed that because he didn't really want to be there," said Pearson. "I have got no idea if he stayed in the stadium to watch the game.

"You can make your own judgements but it is very important that everybody associated with the club acts in a professional manner.

"Transitional periods at football clubs are always potentially quite disruptive and this is no different. It has only been a week but it has been a long week. But we have got a job to do and we are trying to go about it the right way."

Watford were relegated three weeks ago and had nothing left to play for but pride. The first half was illuminated only by Dyer's 29th-minute finish. Solano threaded the ball through and when Lee Williamson slipped, the England midfielder glided through to clip home his seventh goal of the season. It was ironic the goal came from a player whose attitude has been often questioned this season - and could be leaving in the summer.

"There is no doubt that Kieron has got a lot of ability but it has been a little bit of a stop-start season for him," said Pearson.

The best moments for Watford summed up their season. Williamson performed a stylish turn on the touchline to feed King after 12 minutes only for the Watford captain to blaze over.

And the midfielder was again the provider seven minutes before the break when his cutback evaded the Newcastle rearguard only for the unmarked Tommy Smith to sky his shot from 10 yards.

Michael Owen got his only half chance five minutes into the second half but Carr's low cross skidded past him. Instead of going two behind, Watford were handed a way back into the game by Styles.

Adrian Mariappa ran onto Smith's quick throw-on and hooked the ball, at point-blank range, into Nicky Butt's raised arms. Styles adjudged the block to have been deliberate and King took his tally to four goals in his injury-ravaged season from the spot.

A diplomatic Pearson said: "The ref gives it as he sees it but our players were very disappointed."

Owen was stretchered from the pitch after 65 minutes following his collision with team-mate Matthew Pattison but his injury was later diagnosed as only mild concussion.

The game got the rousing finale it hardly deserved when the underemployed Foster was subbed in injury time to a standing ovation and then a hug from boss Aidy Boothroyd after two years at the club.

Heard Martins have declared himself unfit after knowing that he will be on the bench.I dont know whether this is true or not,but if it is,I dont feel very happy at all, even though he has been one of our brightest player this season. As for N'Zogbia,Im getting really upset and sick of his attitude recently. It would be good if he were to leave in the summer as well.

Get rid and dont sign anymore French players ever again.

In 500% agreement with this.

Fuking more trouble than they are worth.

Lazy, arrogant, trouble making sulky fukers.

I don't know if we just attract them but i'm hard pushed to think of 5 Frenchmen in football who don't have an attitude problem.  :undecided:

Surely we are just unlucky?

Psychological profiling of potential transfers should solve this problem!

I wonder about Pearson you know ...

Comes accross as a bit of a bully. Things did seem to start going pearshaped a short while after he joined. You really have to wonder how much the victimization of Bramble was down to him. I wonder if he was responsible for getting Roeder to be 'tough' with the players which ultimately led to Roeder's downfall.

Would be interesting to compare Roeder's performance while with Sheare & then Kevin Bond to his performance while with Pearson?

If only Jenas was here he could have shown Zoggy how to stick his mobile where the signal won't reach.

Apparently he was texting on his phone whilst Pearson was going through the team-talk, and was subsequently taken off the bench.

Probably texting his agent "The prick has put me on the bench - get me the hell out of here"

Or maybe he was making a memo?

*Note to self; sort my fucking petulant overpaid attitude out ASAP*

Can f*** off. No player is bigger than the club.

True, but also he has been taken for a ride this year, pathetic. Typical of this club. Can't blame Zoggy.

Yes you can!!!!! He's paid a small fortune every week, he should do what he's bloody told.

Footballers behave like pathetic kids at times.

I have a feeling those wanting rid of Pearson will be disappointed when Allardyce takes over. Clark aswell for that matter.

Like you maintained to the bitter end that Rodent would be manager next season?  :-*

Bullshit. Think you are mixing me up with someone else.
