It looks like my dream of seeing Nicolas in the black and white is at an end. Fergy who is clearly working from the same string vibration as me over the last couple of weeks has seen something in Anelka which is as clear as day...Anelka is still one of the best strikers in the world and £8m is really peauts for his services. Hang your heads in shame all those mumbling about his attitude, this is a big oppurtunity missed.

"Having left Manchester United's rivals trailing in their wake by racking up more than £50 million of transfer activity before the end of May, Sir Alex Ferguson is now considering an £8 million move for Nicolas Anelka to complete his summer strengthening while Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool continue to position themselves in the starting blocks.

United have made inquiries as to Anelka's availability at Bolton and it is understood that the 28-year-old striker will be allowed to leave if a club competing in next season's Champions League lodge a bid matching the £8 million that Bolton paid Fenerbahce for the Frenchman last August."

Man Utd. are a canny bet for the Champions League next season imo. Even more so if this happens.

The House that Sam Built at Bolton is in danger of falling apart with us cherrypicking backroom staff and possibly players, and Man United nicking Anelka.

Leicester post Martin O'Neill springs to mind.

Would prefer Darren Bent to Anelka to be honest.

I hope we don't sign Bent. Not what we need and not in Anelka's class either.

He'd do well there. He wouldn't do much here and would be off within two seasons.

YOu don't understand YG....No Anelka means the timeline is blown....Even the Ashley deal is in trouble.  :frantic:

I know Bent is in a much higher class... :parky: and younger, Anelka would come for a couple of seasons then go in the huff and bugger off.

Pure speculation still though. Much like Barton's arrival here.

Hope so. :)

Allardyce-Anelka-Ashley.

All 3 must be in place.

Allardyce-Ameobi-Ashley.

that's a winning trio if ever i saw one.......  :cheesy:

This is a very dangerous time, the sands have shifted...I did not see red nose strike from the shadows...Ashley himself is in grave danger. Fergy as before is the dream breaker.
