Wullie
Only problem is, who believes anything they read in the papers these days? He could work for the Icelandic Sun Well quite. If it's the Icelandic Mirror, might as well lock the thread now.
Cajun
It's not like posting that though is going to make us all rush out and buy a copy of his paper though is it. True but my point was more the papers quite often don't know much
Guest
Yeah I know that. Just that he has no reason to come on here and say we're in talks unless it's true. If he came on saying, "Exclusive! Gudjohnsen to Newcastle. Read the Rekjavik Star tomorrow to find out more!", then I'd say fair enough.
Shak
So we've signed Gudjohnsen then? Sorted.

Wullie
How reliable is this Icelandic Newspaper Alfie Romeo? He's probably not likely to say "we talk shite" tbh.
Guest Toon83
well people ask if other sites and newspapers are reliable so im simply asking a kid who works in the Icelandic Media how reliable this source is, seeing as knowone has any knowledge of the icelandic press on here
Shak
How reliable is this Icelandic Newspaper Alfie Romeo? He's probably not likely to say "we talk s****" tbh. Plus he was probably put off by our sceptical and generally abusive attitude towards his "scoop". Shame on you all.
Guest Verlaine
Is there a real name in his e-mail address that he signed up with so you could maybe Google it and see if it links to any articles? Good shout. His email address is indeed registered to an Icelandic newspaper. I hope Bluf has blown his top on the mods only board about invasions of privacy and you lot being worse than the govt. How is me confirming he works for an Icelandic newspaper invasion of privacy, bearing in mind his second post was "I work in the Icelandic media"? Unbelievable
I bet you it's this one from that list, seeing as Wullie mentioned Reykjavik. They are monitoring the situation closely it seems: http://sport.is/fullfrettir.php?idnews=5935&idcat=

IceMag
Take your pick: Dagbladid Visir Fréttabladid Morgunbladid Bladid If it is a newspaper it's most likely on of those, those four are the only newspapers in Iceland that come out every day. I doubt it is Sport.is, the website you linked to, seeing as they get most of their football related stories from fotbolti.net, the biggest football website in Iceland. I think there is a good chance this guy is telling the truth. Iceland is a very small country and we don't have that many football journalists. Those we do have tend to have very good connections to players, agents etc.
