Will Man Utd now be tempted by Owen?

It would be fantastic if Fergie came in with a £10m bid for Owen.

Aye, fantastic to sell our best striker for 7mill less than we paid

You should be a manager tbh.

Since when has what a club paid for a player ever determined how much he is actually worth on the transfer market?

I thought you were meant to be good with numbers and all that stuff. ???

How do we know what he is worth though? For all we know he could return better than he was pre injury. You just can't say. Therefore to sell Englands best finisher for just over half what we paid less than two years ago, considering he is in his peak years as a striker, would be ridiculous.

Like he's worth £17m right now?

He can barely play a game without getting injured, that coupled with his wages, we'd be lucky to get rid of him for £10m and let him be someone else's problem.

Oh lets not forget next season he'll be in the last year of his contract, Liverpool sold him for £8m then and thats when he was a world class player instead of a permenant crock.

I could see why you think i should be manager.

Fantastic for Man Utd.

If they could get him on the pitch, which would take a miracle.

He'll play a lot for us this season I reckon and £10m is absolute peanuts. Mido's just nearly cost Boro £7m.

I'd wager he won't play 25 full league games, probably not even 20.

Great. Will allow us to rotate our 4 good strikers nicely without the risk of the likes of Owen getting unsettled by not playing.

I can't see Man Utd signing Owen.  His wages over next few years and signing fee is not worth covering Rooney for 2 months.  Plus he's likely to be crocked after 3 games and be with Rooney in the treatment room.

I want Owen to stay with us.  Believe he can get 15+ EPL goals for us this term and we need them to get in to Europe.

Hopefully Michael Owen will f*** off.

Does his staying mess up the ridiculous line-up in your sig like?

The one that doesn't include £12m worth of new players

Boro are a joke, desperation to the max with that purchase.

As for Owen, i'd be pleased to see him play 20 full games this season, i doubt he will.

I'd rather take the money and sign someone of lesser quality who plays 80% of his games, rather than 8%.
