  1. sigh What? As I said, if it was a player from the other team people would have gone off it. Sick of him posturing as a moral benchmark on Twitter when he dives and stubs out cigars in peoples eyes. I entirely agree with you, was wonder what afar was sighing about. There's this "Barton gets overly victimised" mentality, but it appears to be going to the other extreme of "look at them picking on Barton". He acted like a grade A t*** today and should deservedly be criticised for it. How about Gervinho or Song, how did they act, why arn't you talking about them ? They were angels. Don't use such idiotic reasoning, man. Why on earth would I be excusing how they acted? It doesn't mean Barton didn't act like a bellend himself. Instead of "OMG LOOK AT BARTON BEING CRITICISED THE PRESS HATE HIM"... maybe he's being criticised because he, er, was an idiot today? Just a thought. If it was any other player there wouldn't be such a hysterical reaction. Sorry, but that's the truth. The press and the fans love a villain and Barton fits that bill. The reason he gets talked about is because he does those things though. Can't think of any of his red cards or criminal convictions which have been unwarranted

Shit comeback btw, totally irrelevant.

  5. Thought it was pretty shameful tbh- after he had a go at Pedersen for going down too easy (and responded by smacking him) I think he's truly embarrassed himself. Wish he'd cut this shit out of his game, if it was a player from any other club people would be queueing up to have a go at him.
  6. Those attempted long throws were f***ing awful, like. Had me thinking though, if the ball went in from a throw in, untouched, would it be a goal? Would be a goal kick. Or a corner if it went in the other net
  7. Indeed true, was a youth and reserves team, still well funny though
  8. I swear England play Poland every time
  9. I don't understand why they're doing draws for rounds when two out of the four teams aren't known yet. Can't they draw those rounds later on?
  10. They trialled the chip in ball system at the U17 World Cup a few years back and it didn't work particularly well. I remember one time it flashed up as a goal when the ball went out for a goal kick.
  11. Waiting for the cliches about 'you can't practise penalties' to fly around. Yes you can, every other country does it, that's why we're so shit at them. No England international mens team has ever practised penalties before a WC tournament (apart from the normal penalty taker) and look at the result! Little pet peeve of mine
  12. Tin hat on here but think it's been a pretty decent game. Enjoyed it.
  13. Personally, I enjoy being able to watch more than one live game per weekend. Nowt stopping the Premier League from putting Man Utd's, Chelsea's, Liverpool's games on TV at 3pm Oh God. I've quoted about 3 of your posts in the last day so it might feel like I'm picking on you but stop saying braindead s*** ffs. The whole point of the different kick-off times is that games are on telly, hence the extra money, etc, etc. Sometimes I think you're taking the p*ss. Don't worry mate, we're all thinking it.

    Players in public

Why did they let someone take photos of them while they were getting tattooed?
  16. Quite like it- reminds me of the 2002/3 kit.
  17. You lot could always do us a favour of course? http://cdn1.knowyourmeme.com/i/000/101/771/original/1879f18e_e542_e1c6.jpg
  18. You lot could always do us a favour of course? Did you see the game earlier today?
  19. Not sure it's a decider, Chelsea have a tricky tie at Everton on last day whereas Man U have Blackpool.

    Diving

Diving is incredibly hard to spot in real time (hence why players do it); if you make it a red card offence you'll end up with players who are legitimately fouled getting sent off. I don't disagree with long punishments but they should be retrospective.
  21. Exactly. I don't understand how players forgive each other so readily as well (eg different nationalities at same club). If someone faked injury trying to get me sent off I'd classify them as a Grade A cock and want to have nothing to do with them ever again.
  22. Agreed really. People forget its part of the game. If a player manages to dive and get a foul successfuly. Good for him, what can you do about it? Stop supporting a team because of it? f*** me, I hope we'll see more diving. And this is why football is turning to shit.
