You're 100% spot on, but it's interesting how many people defend the players in other threads. We've got some absolute shite in our team who without Rafa would see us languishing in Villa territory.

I wonder who won him the two league titles in Spain with a club that wasn't one of the big 2? He didn't win it once which you could put down as a fluke but you don't usually fluke your way to two titles. I guess he could have treated the league season as a cup competition though. Won it with 70 something points twice. 1 of them Deportivo finished 2nd. Neither were flukes. But it just goes to show the best seasons in his career - his team still dropped a lot of points. He regularly got similar amount of points at Liverpool but that wasn't enough to win league titles. His best ever season in terms of points was at Liverpool which they lost against a very strong Man Utd side. Again you would say being too defensive at home cost them the league. Too many home draws. It's a pattern in his career. He's a fine manager but his teams have never dominated a league. Is there a manager who dominates a league ready to take the job?

I'd be lying if I said I could even name another half dozen left-backs in the league, but surely to God this is a load of bollocks? Dummett has been totally comfortable against the majority of wingers in the division and has played a crucial role in our season. He's been pretty much as dependable as Clark (neither of them are without their faults). Gouffran has seven goals from left-wing and whilst he offers little else besides getting into the right place from time to time, he clearly isn't below the standards of the Championship. I'm not gonna spend a paragraph defending Jackie First Team, but again, he's hardly Sunday League. Just a bit shit. We wouldn't be top of the league if we were carrying several players of whom are League 1 standard. It's just nonsensical hyperbole off the back of a shite, shite defeat. I've been saying it for 2 years about the players I've mentioned though, it's not on the back of the Fulham match. He's one of probably only 3 or 4 PL quality players we have in our squad. As he showed the last time we were there................oh wait. He was still one of our better players last season. :lol: :lol: back. Great argument.
