  1. Who do you suggest he magics up? Owld crock Rio or Owld racist Terry? They were unrelated comments. What's wrong with Cahill? Fair enough, he's not that good and not playing regularly for Chelsea is likely not to be helping him. At least the under 21s look decent, and I'm actually confident that Southgate will turn them into something like a decent team, unlike the shower out there tonight.

  3. I'm genuinely amazed he has ever played for England, but at the same time I'm struggling to think of any English right backs apart from Richards and GJ.
  4. These are the most average pair of centre backs I've ever seen play together for England. Hodgson is Pardew really isn't he.

Why was Andy Cole sent off so many times??
  6. Aye. Pretty hard to argue that a full season doesn't even out. Teams ultimately get what they deserve for that season's work. Apart from us when we finished 5th... ;-)
  7. Especially when you've also picked up a draw and a win against clubs that would expect to beat you. The difference is Sunderland were shit, and there for the taking, yet we still got nothing. Chelsea can't say the same, we actually played well. I see what you're getting at, but the Sunderland and Hull matches are good examples where we should have got something.
  8. His reaction after that was shite but he didn't kick Alonso, it was a late tackle. I did a GIF of that tackle. Wasn't even a foul.

Passing it around them up to the box and having a few long rangers is no good man when they have the worst defence in the league. They had the much better chances. Dummet standing off and allowing Altiadoredore to nip in between him and Krul.Borini's meg of Krul before he scored. Before the first goal Krul was at full stretch to make a save from someone too. EDIT: Our best chance was a near own goal minutes from the end. I didn't think neither team created anything, both teams were relatively restricted to long range efforts but we were far better at keeping the ball then them, just once we moved the ball into the final 3rd our movement was terrible and never stretched them enough. Thought it was an awful game but we didn't deserve to lose and a draw would have been fair. Some people may think Sunderland were good value for their 3 points, that's entirely their own judgement. I just didn't see it that way, once we scored i thought we would go on to win it but it wasn't to be. No good looking by now thinking what might have been or could have been, tough games coming up fast and best to concentrate on them now. I've given you examples of what the Mackems did create though so you can't say they didn't do that. All were better chances than ours, so if anyone deserved the points it was them. They were rank anaarl. I would hope we are looking back at performances to learn from them. Our mistake was not looking back at the 3 nowt enough to see what a derby is about and taking revenge. You've mentioned Altidore nipping in as a chance, he wasn't even in control of the ball at any point. Was a nervy moment which was over in seconds. Krul did make an outstretched save but that was from a long ranger, Borini's was a decent chance but Krul made a hash of it really. I thought both sides carved out a couple of half chances at best, we had long range efforts, so did they, just one of theirs flew into the top corner, hard to take but it can happen. Without having to read through the rest of your mind-boggling posts, are you defending us for not beating a team with 1 point so far this season?
  10. What's the alternative though? There isn't one but that's not really the point he's making. People thought this would be fine. Exactly Shall we start measuring cocks? Jesus, what's the obsession with proving our own fans wrong?
  11. I'm certain every single fan would prefer our other defenders to be fit, but they're not.
  12. I played against Ray Houghton, but he was on the way down by then ;-)

You wouldn't be happy if we got Mourinho or Guardiola then? They'd have to prove themselves here before you accept them? http://blogs.vso.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/Moving-the-goalposts-300x2402.jpg What? To be fair, it's quite obvious what he's asking. You're right, of course. Quite how he's got to that question from my post, I'm not sure. You're basically saying that the previous failings of a manager have no impact on how successful they'll be in the future? But I suppose you're in the belief that one day he might just work out how to be a good manager, despite proving time and time again that he hasn't got a clue. If Mourinho came in I'd be pretty confident that even with a couple of bad years with us, he's be able to turn it around, based on his previous success as a manager.

  15. You're confident Steven Taylor can handle Suarez and Sturridge? I'm happy to admit I rate Mapou higher than Taylor and Williamson, not sure that should be such an issue. It's not. It's just Colo and Taylor are a proven decent partnership and MYM was absolutely raped by DS last time round. Colo was raped by Suarez last time he played them. We should go Williamson & Taylor. Suarez will rape all of our CBs. That's the price you pay for spending less than a combined £8m on them in the last 5 years. The only way to really solve it is to buy Suarez tbh.

I just realise the top 6 have improved greatly over past couple of year and the task of catching them up is becoming harder. It's a tough league, just got to try and keep pushing on and bring the calibre of players like Remy to the club. Not an easy task but we have improved the talent within our squad over the years but just not as quickly as the top teams can afford to do it. So "very good" means anywhere from 4th to about 10th? Good is 11th to 14th, average is...... How odd.
  17. not too keen on the idea myself, we hate chelsea and citeh for being a rich mans plaything and earning f*** all so can't say I'd be happy if we done exactly that. Wrong - we DON'T hate Chelsea and Spurs because they are rich men's playthings...we hate them because we are not in the same league but have bigger crowds. I couldn't give a toss how we get success as long as we get it and you are forgetting that in the 90s WE were the ones doing the spending with SJH and KK - remember Shearer etc ? speak for yourself, I don't hate spurs, as far as I'm aware their spending is based on what they've earned and their own risk (debt), like we did, SJH didn't give a hand out, a hand in if anything as he was a taker out of cash unlike abramovic.meanwhile many complain that that sort of thing is killing the game. so what about ashleys gambling, it's his money, why don't you put more of your money into the club ? Probably because it won't be spent on the club?
  18. It's all a standardised size. Since when? Either last season or the season before. Missed that Having said that it was a stupid point anyway, given that Everton had a wider pitch than Man United before.

  20. Great defensive header too. Wrong end like.
  21. Think it's safe to say Man United will be changing their pitch dimensions to make their pitch much more narrow next season.

    Papiss Cissé

Can't blame service today - a striker of his level should be scoring at least once.
