  1. That's the exact reason we're in this league right now. Our midfield is fucking shit, and has been for years.
  2. With us relying on Guthrie and Jonas to provide stuff from wide, I predict that we'll create nothing from those areas. We HAVE to play Ryan Taylor on the right of midfield. Probably why Hughton has gone less with target man type strikers today... Yep, good point.
  3. Keegan claimed the rest of his NUFC contract (worth £8.5m) and his potential earnings over the next seven years at nearly £2.5m per year. Totalling about £25m, and based on loss of future earnings due to his reputation being ruined by NUFC's actions when he was employed by them. I don't see why it's despicable, he claimed what he (or more likely his lawyers) felt was the potential loss had this case tarnished his reputation as a top-level manager. You can't blame him for it, but Keegan, more than anyone, would know what him winning that amount would have done to this club. Now we're in the Championship, aye. The Ashley regime has overseen a ridiculous period of mismanagement including the Keegan fiasco and has resulted in the club being in a position where £25m could cripple it. I'm not sure why Keegan should have taken into account the fact that as a club we couldn't afford it. Also, Ashley could easily afford it personally. That's my whole issue with this. I just wish there was a way that Keegan could have taken Ashley to court personally. HE'S the one who should pay, not the person buying the club. Maybe because his contract was with Newcastle United, and not Ashley in-person? I know that. I'm just pointing out that the annoying thing for me in this is that Ashley won't actually care.

  6. Not without the managers permission. Fuck off mackem. Newcastle signed a player from Spain when the manager wanted a player from Portugal. He was signed before the manager was told. FACTAMUNDO.

Think this is something a lot of people are forgetting tbh. How are they forgetting it? There's NOTHING to indicate that his lawyers chose that amount. He'll have been told what the potential was, and gone ahead with it.

  9. Plenty have clubs have signed players without the manager seeing them play, particularly on the day of the transfer deadline. I can think of at least one other player that Newcastle signed on the recommendation of someone not connected to the club. I think the youtube comment from Wise was more of a "can't be arsed discussing this with you anymore Kevin" type comment. The whole club has been a joke for years. Ashley and Wise have just made it obvious to the general public.
  10. If Keegan comes back, will he spend £2m of his own money on a player now?

    Jonas Gutierrez

I'd rather judge players on how they're doing at the moment rather than how they did last season. It's the only reason I'm looking forward to Ameobi coming back. At the moment, Jonas is only one of our best players because we've got so much shite (Butt, mainly) in the team.
  12. Why not 86 - 0? genuine question. Because that would be ridiculous That would mean BC would not touch the ball for 90 minutes + We aint that good. Who takes the kick-off at each restart like?

    Jonas Gutierrez

I kind of agree, on the 'to replace' list Jonas would be right down the bottom, surely. Other than Enrique who I believe is definitely good enough for the Prem. Ryan Taylor and Kevin Nolan have offered us far more this season though. Funny old game.
  14. The ashley bummers cant see it tho. Slurping up ashleys love juice by the glass full. Was it on about page 5 where I pointed out that most people who have lost respect for Keegan actually hate Ashley too? You don't have to love one to hate the other. Bit tired of pointing this out to you, as it's clearly not going in.
  15. Yup. Sounds like avoiding defeat would be some sort of accomplishment from the game. Didn't deserve much more after picking a defensive line up. Not sure it was the line-up, sounded like we just didn't play for 30 minutes. I just don't think there's any need to pick Butt.
  16. He's absolutely terrible... and very weird too.
  17. Kinda proving my point when people are having to name odd games Guthrie off. Good
  18. Shola's no better than Carroll tbh. Did you miss the beginning of this season? No, And I've watched Newcastle for years. Don't let a pen and a couple of goals against a crap team mislead you. He scored as many goals in the first part of this season as Carroll scored in his entire career. Yeah, brilliant. Some mongs on here like. Don't put yourself down Yeah, alright I'll buy into the bollocks Shola hyperbole then shall I? **** me. To be honest, my main argument with your comment is the part about Carroll, who has never really shown anything.
  19. Yep. Very disappointing. Serious question; has he ever been that good for us? I can't understand why he's our only midfielder who doesn't get stick.
