  1. The renewal part of the website is broken - we are working on fixing it.
  2. We have liased with other Trusts - I am sure it is no surprise the majority are not overly sympathetic to where we find ourselves. You also have to approach these meetings strategically and based on facts. If you go in all guns blazing for example on a corruption line you get shut down after 30 seconds and the conversation is closed down by the PL and they move on.
  3. As NE27 says you've got some solid ideas that could definitely be put to good use in ordinary circumstances, but isn't today's meeting via Zoom? Suppose that could make it easier for the PL to palm off any challenging line of questioning? Only if you let them. I was fewming for weeks afterwards. But apparantly being crap at your job isnt unlawful. I reckon they might have access to the mute button though Yeah this was where I was coming from. Get a little out of line and I'm sure they'll mute or have 'technical troubles'. Which would make them 'Unreasonable' or 'Not interested in the concerns of NUFC fans' or any other number of things depending on the spin. The meeting isn't about the takeover though. It just has a 15 minute spot. It's perfect reasonable that they move on from it after the 15 minutes. The meeting is about the takeover as much as it is about the other individual agenda items - it is a regular meeting between the PL, FSA and representatives of the PL Trusts and the agenda is set based on topical current issues. As is our prerogative we asked for the takeover to be an item to be on the agenda (as others can ask for other items to be on the agenda) and it was accepted by the PL and FSA. It's one of the first agenda items, not an add on at the end. I understand that; what I mean is the PL have every right to keep to that 15 minute timeslot so that other agenda items get time too.

  5. Good ideas tbh mate, did you pitch them to trust? I'm not having a go either, genuinely good ideas that if you think are valid and are a member you should forward these on. I shouldnt have to. We as supporters (or rather the trust), have a face to face meeting with richard masters. There should be one thing, and one thing only on the agenda. Questions need to asked in a certain way that force him to comment a certain way. So for example "Mr Masters, its been rumoured in the press that 2 PL clubs and BEIN have had say in this proposed takeover. Is this true?" Obviously hes not gonna say they have and he will deny it. So when evidence does emerge (which i believe it eventually will) his position becomes untenable. Its basic stuff. Open questions. Closed questions. Leading questions, Loaded questions. All asked to get a certain response. In effect, to set him up. I mean, was he even invited up here for a meet and greet to listen to fans opinions, to offer his own and to see the state of the club under ashley? He could have toured to most deprived areas of the north east with an MP that are crying out for investment, jobs, etc etc so he could see why this takeover was so important. And no - im not a member of the trust. I disagreed with its position on ashley and not wanting to become a protest group. i still have high hopes for the trust, but just like the club i support, I'm not sure they will ever be realised. Why do you expect the trust to speak for you and stand up for you if you aren't a member? These are all good points - join up, have your say - influence how it operates. Ive just tried to sign up and got this weird page from paypal - https://ibb.co/5nBwfrq. Im at work but ill try again later. Weird - we're looking to move away from Paypal - it's not been great. Let me know if you still have problems.

  7. The "lines" of engagement with the club are a joke and we push hard on that constantly and are highly critical - there is no cosy relationship (unlike the fans forum members that took free corporate hospitality) - Newcastle are the worst club in the Premier League for communicating with their Trust and we have raised and challenge them and the Premier League on this constantly - but you can't abandon that entirely given what the formal rules / constitution that govern the trust says.
  8. Not enough, that's for sure, despite being established in response to Ashley's horrific running of the club. For the majority of its existence has been ineffectual, hence as an entirely new Board we've been re-building it from scratch over the last 18 months. I can only speak for the current board, a fair few who have done far more than most to try and get rid of Ashley under previous guises be that through Ashley Out, previous iterations of The Magpie Group (initially formed through NUST in 2018) etc.
  9. Think you are mixing up the NUST with the Fans Liaison Committee. In fact I think quite a few on here have I don’t think I have, after Rafa resigned this debate was had, and the trust raised all the reasons they should continue to engage with the club. They prioritised it over getting Ashley out. As I said, doesn’t matter now. This isn't really true and shows a significant lack of understanding of what the trust is.
  10. While it is unlikely that either of these two deals go through I do find it hilarious that everyone takes this one line from Ashley as gospel despite him being proven to be a liar and to mislead fans on purpose.
  11. Looks like they are doing a protest flag using the old Qatar flag They got the colour wrong, that looks more like Bahrain. That IS Bahrain. Jesus Christ Bahrain only has five white spikes.
  12. Not a fixed number depends on the skills but will be considerably fewer than 100.
  13. We've had over 100 applicants so far.
  14. I'll have to check - I think you need to be 16 to have a share but might be able to still become members without a share. Let me come back to you.
  15. www.nufctrust.co.uk/support raise a ticket
  16. 450 is the limit of the Zoom meeting.
  17. 450 sold out but will be live on YouTube as well.
  18. So having got a log in to action network, and having clicked that link - have I now written to my MP? Whenever I click that link it just says "thank you for your support and let us know if you get a reply" but there's nothing in my email app sent items... The email is sent by the platform on your behalf so won't be in sent items. You should get something in your inbox though.
  19. Yes - I briefed them last night. BBC Sport have been very good to NUST.
  20. Correct. The NUST stance is also carefully positioned: "The Premier League may have sound reasons for drawing out the takeover process for more than four months and the Premier League may have done everything they needed to do to protect their business and Newcastle United. "However, there must be transparency after the process has completed. Answers must be provided about decisions which affect millions of people in our region. "So far, the silence from the Premier League suggests they believe the people of the north east don't matter and that we don't deserve answers."
