  1. Didn't even defend really Can honestly say it is one of the worst goals I've ever seen us concede in terms of simple basic play - so easy. Positioning was so, so bad it just made it so easy - most central defenders would cut out that ball across - where the hell was Krafth? Sp deep, his positioning was so bad. Can't really blame him. Why is he playing at centre half?
  2. Agreed mate and fully support the stance. Don’t mind any of the s**** being spouted here or on social media. It was the right thing to do. It’s far more use having a trust representing the fans that either the club or other organisations can trust to have a dialogue with.
  3. I'm 100% in agreement. However, playing devils advocate, how long do PL CEO's actually last? Isn't Masters meant to be out some time fairly soon? He's been in post little over six months.
  4. Richard Master's literally wrote to the legal counsel acting for Hetiz Cengiz complaining their correspondence had been leak into the media. If we never want to speak to them again, and not use this as an opportunity to build some sort of dialogue with the CEO of the Premier League beyond the takeover e.g. on other matters, then we could throw it all away for some likes on Twitter. But that would be very stupid.
  5. Can I ask, are all members made aware of the contents or just the senior members? I don't blame for you trying to open a formal dialogue with the league, I'm just curious how those type of things work in what is a fans group. Just the executive board members not the plebs. Just be a courteous reply I would have thought similar to the Kashogi fiance received. He stated today that the matter was confidential so be absolutely gobsmacked if it was anything else. This your not missing out on anything I would suggest, just a bog standard holding reply saying their views will be taken on board. Joke aside though think they’re doing the right thing keeping it private, all opponents of the deal have leaked letters to press, shows a bit of respect and will give them credibility with PL for any future dealings. The latter part was one of the main points from our barrister in terms of credibility and influence.

  7. Richard Masters coming up on talksportdrive at 17.30 to confirm once again its a confidential process. They are just playing clips from this mornings committee I think.
  8. Dear NUST My advice to you all, is to make sure your fridge works. Best wishes Richard Masters The Premier League
  9. It’ll be a standard ‘we can’t say anything, confidential process etc etc’ No - both letters are private for good reason. It's not a PR exercise to make twitter happy. The tweet explains it was an acknowledgement. Then why tell everyone in the first place? Pushing for importance by the looks of things.
  10. Absolutely disgusting that NUST is letting its members and other fans know it has a dialogue with the Premier League on behalf of its members. Absolutely disgusting decision to keep this dialogue open and look to build a better platform with the PL to stand up for fans. Disgusting that NUST wants to act professionally and build that dialogue further for the betterment of fans going forward in the long term rather than just as a PR exercise. Of course it would have been much better to just release the letter it sent as a PR exercise and make NUFC twitter happy, and not get a response from the CEO of the Premier League, and not build a relationship for future dialogue with the top man at the Premier League.

  12. Christ the lad must be some age if he was playing in 92-93. Only been the Championship since 2004 tbh. Classic Gregg this. Greg[/member] I'm over it / immune.
  13. There you go. Do their opinions not matter? Sure more people have signed that petition in less than a day than are signed up members to NUST. Didn't say they didn't, but NUFC twitter is not even close to be representative of the fan base. Just ask anyone involved in any of the protest work be it Pardew, Ashley stuff, walk outs etc. What's NUST got to do with it? It’s a large enough group of people to be taken seriously And comparable in numbers to NUST, so should not dismissed or looked down upon. Some will also be members of NUST. People on here have called it pathetic, for me looking down upon fellow NUFC fans for venting their frustration in a calm manner is way beyond pathetic. I haven't. But I haven't signed it as I think it's a little dangerous asking for a solution now - if people want the takeover then we simply have to wait until the Premier League approve it. There are clearly incredibly complex issues they are considering. Pushing them to do it quicker - while unlikely to have any influence - if it did, would surely more likely result in a refusal and us being stuck with Ashley going forward? The NUST letter on behalf of their members might have no impact either, in fact it probably will not, but it was a very strong point by point legal rebuttal of some of the nonsense claims by Qatar re the WTO report and others that have written to the Premier League, undertaken by a specialist barrister from 3 Hare Court Chambers and was sent directly to Richard Masters by legal counsel. I haven’t signed it either, simply as I see no point in it. Those petitions don’t work, even for serious issues, so I don’t think it matters in terms of speeding things up, but clearly shows a united front of a group of supporters venting their frustrations in a better manner than we have done previously. Again, for me won’t make a difference. I’m all for the letter sent by NUST, I think it’s was a good reach out and not one done for the spotlight as others have done, backed up with not publishing the contents. So all in I agree mainly with what you say there, the thing I’m not comfortable with is the dismissal of 10k supporters voices as twitter noise, it’s more than that and the number should be respected by all NUFC fans considering it’s not even 24 hours. Ps, not sure how many voted in that poll where 97% wanted the takeover, but I’m sure it was also hosted on Twitter (might be wrong) Pps...just think what 5 t***s with a coffin can do for your fans image a decade on, a petition is a good place to keep all that energy focused in one spot. It was a member survey, sent only to members via survey monkey or one of those things. I was being facetious in response to your point about this place not being representative of the wider fan base (which I agree with) - we don't appear to really be disagreeing and clearly it is a little more than twitter noise - but my point being in general, all my experience in this sort of thing is that twitter (where we've seen most of the traction for the petition) clearly isn't respective of the wider fan base either - we've seen that time and time again over the years with loads of noise on twitter and little to no action on the ground by the masses that still descend on SJP.
  14. Genuinely, what expertise or knowledge do you have to make that sort of assessment? How can you be confident that it wasn't absolute drivel that immediately went into the shredder? Bear in mind you can get a solicitor to put forward the case that 2+2=5 as long as you pay them for it (and I can't imagine the NUST are swimming in cash so I'm sure it was a quickie job from the brief). We engaged specialist legal counsel from leading chambers in London, not some back street local solicitor with a practice on Durham Road. I have read the letter as I instructed the legal team on this and the letter is certainly presents compelling arguments - I deal with a lot of similar scenarios in my professional life but not about takeovers of football clubs so I am not going to sit here and say I am an expert in takeovers, if I was I would have written the letter myself. Finance wise NUST is healthy with a strong bank balance.
