  1. As if he thinks they work their bollocks off. f***ing parasites the lot of em. Spent much time in SD and his warehouses recently have you?
  2. Where is the source for this? I believe Greg[/member] is the source, for comedic and accurate intent. Various previous Steve Bruce press conferences.
  3. What do we expect when we have a manager with this approach to the game? “I’ve been accused of being a dinosaur because I don’t like the computer.” “I have heard lots of nonsense about tactics but the big thing is about showing pride and having a go.” "I'm not really into tactics."
  4. Been woefully exposed by our horrific set up and lack of tactics and coherent game plan.
  5. There is littler better in football (not involving Newcastle United) than seeing Manchester United get beat.

    Transfer rumours

Tried to shag his cousin at a wedding iirc. Or was that someone else?
  7. Not sure he did. Think he got a promotion actually. He's leaving his full time post but will do some ad-hoc work as an adviser to the CEO and Board.
  8. Then I suppose that's where his legal team need to earn their money. Whilst the PL may not have formally 'rejected' it, despite what Ashley says, by their own rules if they haven't had the requested information (as they claim), then they should have disqualified the 'director' i.e. PIF. However, Ashley is arguing that the club has sent through evidence of the separation between PIF and the KSA, so again, if that is not good enough for the PL, then by their rules, surely they should have disqualified PIF, which as majority director/shareholder must lead to a rejection? Hopefully its part of the narrative, and will lead to an approval at some point. #Clutching I don't think you're clutching that much, I think that's probably the crux of the argument. If it's true that the PL avoided making a decision to pacify those parties who were heaping pressure on (broadcast partners and elite organisation members), then surely that's what 'our' lawyers will be instructed to prove? I wonder what their hourly rate is. Will be in the thousands per hour.
  9. Oh I agree. But to dismiss him has having never come close is just wrong. It's not wrong at all IMO. The French league is a poor league and even more so then. Also knocked out in the quarter finals of the CL whereas Lewandowski won it? That's a pretty big difference in seasons I think. Lewandowski would have walked the Ballon d'Or. It's unfortunate for him it was cancelled. Oh I don't disagree with the main points, but context and the team you play in is important. 2015-16 PSG are nowhere near the level of the current Bayern team. No doubt what Lewandowski has achieved this season is greater but you are wrong to be so dismissive on the point of "not even come close". It's sensationalist nonesense.

  11. Both of these are assumptions based on probably's and maybe's. At their peak from what we've seen from both, Lewandowski has performed better. Ibrahimovic hasn't come close to a season like the one Lewandowski just had. 50 goals in 51 games in 2015-16 not to far off.

    On this day...

Nice idea- just did the same. Typically it is a 3-0 defeat away at Manchester United the day after I was born, Frank Stapleton with two and Mark Hughes with the third.
  13. He claimed it is winnings from online poker on the site but it wouldn't surprise me - read there were a few fake emails from lawyers etc. leaked at the time.
  14. I think Reuters have pretty much done this already with their piece today - all doing this would do is give it more attention that it doesn't deserve.
  15. It's been more than one conversation - the buyers know where we are - the ball is very much in their court on this. "The response from the Premier League prompts more questions than it provides answers, not only for the Premier League but for PCP, PIF and the Reuben Brothers, as well as incumbent owner Mike Ashley. We have one simple question for all parties involved in this takeover: As fans of Newcastle United, we simply need to know if this deal is still alive and if so what is the roadmap to completion?"
  16. This is not for fans to sort out. Newcastle fans have done their bit, whipped up a storm with MPs and got the PL to talk for the first time. It's now over to those with the power, the millionaires, billionaires, corporations and sovereign states, to sort this out, either way, once and for all and then we can move on to wherever that may be. This basically.
  17. As I said - Amanda has Alex's phone number - if she wants to contact NUST she knows where we are but it is not the job of NUST or Alex to go chasing Amanda Staveley.
