You sure about that? From what I know he's got a lot of investments. Yes.
-
He's blown most of his career earnings so he'll probably go wherever he will earn the most regardless of what league or location.
-
Put down for five if not enough.

The Corby tournament is reserve/U21 teams.

In.

He signed a new deal last summer. Awful decision.
-
Excellent news if so. Time for us to move on.

Nah. But aye though. Nah it's complete bollocks. He's cost us as many points, if not more, than he won with the odd good performance e.g. Bournemouth. Krul had been poor for a while but Elliot still hasn't really been better than him. He's just not good enough at this level, he's not tall enough, doesn't dive well, horrendously slow off his line, positioning not the best. Decent shop stopped as almost all professional footballers are and decent reflexes. He's just not very good. State of this post It's 100% accurate. That's why he was named player of the year and didn't drop any clangers when he was playing for us? Darlow cost us more points in the games he played than Elliot did. Nonsense. Once Darlow had a run he showed he was clearly better than Elliot, he also has the potential to get a fair bit better. Long term I don't think he'll be good enough be our number 1 though.

No way. Darlow's all-round game, on crosses and coming off his line and sweeping up balls is far, far superior and that was clear in the last few games of the season. There is a lot more to 'keeping than shot stopping, which is where Elliot's game is shockingly bad. I would have said the other way around. I think Darlow has a pretty poor command of the box while being a decent shot stopper He's not great by any means at this but much better than Elliot, in particular in his speed off his line. Elliot cost us quite a few goals by being slow as fuck. Such as? The Everton one is the only glaring error I can remember from him Sunderland red card and pen for one, despite dodgy decision he should have been out and taking the lot. Numerous one on ones, where he was useless.

Darlow certainly not good enough to be our number 1 long term, but I would be happy with him as 2nd choice if he's happy to sit on the bench. It's going to be very interesting time for Tim Krul, he was in poor form for quite some time before his injury. If he can come back and regain full fitness and form then all the better but it will be a worry if he can't and we'll need to look for a long term replacement.

3rd choice he's just about okay I guess. A fair few Championship 'keepers are a lot better than him, League 1 is slightly harsh perhaps. But he really isn't very good, poor positioning, slow of his line, doesn't command his box.
-
Well we did sign him from League 1.... He was one of the worst 'keepers in the Premier League last season.
-
Should have just cancelled the competition.
-
He's played one or two games and everyone thinks he's fucking Paulo Maldini. If our transfer business is good get him loaned out and playing on a regular basis in the same division.
-
Anyone that thinks he's anything other than not good enough is either thick or knows nothing about football. Winning club player of the season after that season means nothing.
-
Was he fuck. He was. One or two good games but cost us quite a few points. No command of his box, very slow off his line. He's a League 1 standard 'keeper at best. Shite. Get rid.
-
He was shite.

My main memory of him during that period is a picture of him (with Pardew and some others) in an airport in France.
