a bit like mcfadden but for 9 million no thanks
In what sense?

scholes. hasnt really done anything of note for years, yet he's "world class" in many peoples eyes.
As pointed out he had a great season last year. If you are going by the couple of seasons that he was unlucky with injuries surely the same could then be said about "Englands Michael Owen"?
-
Defo Rooney.
How anyone can have the audasity to call him world class is beyond me, the real world class players are 5 times the player he is. People need to realise Euro 2004 was over 3 years ago and he hasn't looked anything close to the player he was since then.
Alex Ferguson has ruined him tbh
Aye because making him a key player in a championship winning side is shocking...

Scotland 1-0 up... what's the deal with them then? If they win this they are certain to qualify?
Another great result today and once more what an atmosphere though I did nearly miss that start of the match but just arrived as the teams were lining up.
I honestly think we won't get anything from the Italy game and the bloody Georgia game will be hard enough. Unfortunatly I think we will be sweating on the Ukraine v France game to have any chance of qualification which is a shame after what can only be described as our best ever qualifying campaign.

Aberdeen have qualified. Another fantastic result for Scottish Football.

Celtic are playing a pretty poor side and they are struggling
That poor side have spent 40 million this summer....
-
London - Fulham, nice traditional ground, shame about the football (watch other teams)
Birmingham - Aston Villa.
Liverpool - Don't like either...
Manchester - Man city
Sheffield - Sheff Wed
Glasgow - Bigoted s****, train to edinburgh -Hibees
Wildcard - Berwick Rangers (just for the sex and danger!)
Prejudiced shite tbh.. blueyes.gif

London - Newcastle
Birmingham - Newcastle
Liverpool - Newcastle

we will create plenty of chances and I've taken 20/1 about him being top Premiership goal scorer this season.
5/1 at Skybet for him to be top British scorer is a canny bet too.

am i the only one who'd find it hilarious, if , after doing the double over france the scots still failed to qualify ?
How would it be funny? I reckon Scotland have done better in this group than what England would have done.
I still don't think we will tbh and even if we don't we have still done fanatastic in a group that had 3 of the World Cups quarter finalists and one in which no one had given us a chance in. I dunno about having done better but I would certainly have rather had Englands group than the one we have any day of the week...
Anyway

Unreal result in France.
Basically means one of the WC finalists will not qualify for the finals.
Well, unless Scotland chuck it all away.
Thats bollocks tbh
With only two points in it and Scotland having the worst run of games out of the top three we could easily still not qualify. Ukraine and Italy and home and Georgia away are far from easy games and I still wouldn't be surprised if we did not qualify.

Get the Scottish hopes up in the group, before they are brought crashing back down to earth....as usual.
Crashing back down to earth? We are over achieving in a group consisting of 3 of the World Cup quarter finalists.
I don't think we will qualify from the group, but even if we don't we have seen a massive improvement in the team and have done brilliantly in a group that we were tipped to barely get a point from.

I don't know, maybe a different option for students to pay where they could pay it off as you said like a tenner weekly out of the bank? Its just hard to come up with the full money at once, but i would have been able to renew mine again this season if there was a system where they took a tenner out of the bank each week.
Its hard for people with mortgages, bills, children, shopping etc to come up with the full amount too.
I didn't say it wasn't.
But you have said you would want specific deals and discounts for students when in reality most people have the same financial difficulties etc when it comes to purchasing a season ticket so I fail to see why students should get preferential treatment.
-
The EPL is starting to get a bit closer to the Scottish league, everything about physicalty
To be fair over the last few years quite a few of the teams have been playing some decent football, particularly Hibs and Falkirk.

A season ticket card that money can be credited onto, to be used to buy food and drink on the concourse. Get the opportunity to put money onto it at the start of the season, and get a reduction in your season ticket price in return.
I am sure thats their plans. I think I remember reading it in the annual report.
-
Anyway that was not such an important point, it was the student one what was the main point. Full time students should not have to pay adult prices.
Why not? I managed to.
Maybe if some spent less time and money on the piss they could still afford to buy their season ticket, thats what I done.

I blame Jim White...
-
Is it Lukas Ramsauer reporting it?
-
Newcastle won that game 3-1, thanks to goals from Kieron Dyer, Shola Ameobi and England youth international striker Ryan Donaldson.

Said he'll be replaced tomorrow no less! That was actually a pretty good post-match interview:
- Minimum of 3, maximum of 4 players needed
- We are strong in every area but defence
- Problems over signings have been the lack of European football - the quality of player he's been looking at wanted Europe and could get it elsewhere
- No problems with not getting money ("Everything's fine"). Him and Mort are working together on the signings that need to be made and they hope to "win the battle because it needs to be won".
Cheers.
Thank Gemmill, he posted it over on Toontastic..
