Charles N'Zogbia is sold to Wigan in exchange for Ryan Taylor in the January transfer window. Later Shay Given is sold to Man City in a deal which see's us get no money until the summer (allegedly). Kinnear signs Lovenkrands and Nolan much to the disappointment of many fans. We miss out on Michael Johnson (who was injured for the rest of the season) from Man City on the last day of the window making us look like complete idiots.

Habib Beye is crippled by Clattermole as we lose to Wigan (with another Ryan Taylor free kick). Cattermole having previously put Barton out of contention in the earlier meeting.
