  1. Can't Al-Nassr do a little financial doping for us with buying ASM?
  2. Indeed. It's also one of those positions that's hard to judge the quality. Almiron had what looks like a freak season compared to the rest of his career, ASM injured a lot and doesn't look the same player on the pitch, Gordon not very good for us but won Euro U21s player of the tournament, Murphy I'm still convinced is crap despite his resurgence, Fraser needs to go in the bin, Joelinton better in the middle.
  3. Eddie pulling the plug on Wood early doors gives me hope he is as ruthless as he needs to be.

The Man City model is the correct one to follow. Either selling youngsters or players who are on the way down. They never sell their best players. At present that would be ASM.
  5. Is that to protect him from the Everton fans?
  6. Well it's all moot since he categorically WON'T be signing here

    Chiesa, Chiesa. Chiesa...
  8. Barnes is hardly out of the blue either.
  9. Seems pointless when agents have big mouths and selling clubs want an auction anyway.

So we've been trusting the process since 1969?

He'll be a good signing. Bit of a come down from some names (Chiesa) but his output is great which (barring an Almiron purple patch again) we don't have in our wide forwards.
  12. Feed the Chiesa rumours straight to my veins
  13. Think it would be class with the whole crowd singing it after the initial cheers die down after he scores. To-na-li To-na-li To-na-li
  14. Nah. We went from being able to sign AC Milan captains to losing Maddison and Szoboszlai during these dark times.
  15. Time's up. It was correct.
  16. Computer returned one result. That's why our transfer business has died since
  17. Phillips and Gallagher are nowhere near the same level. If Phillips is available on loan and City will deal with us then it is a no brainer. Gallagher is a "run out of options" option.
  18. That's all well and good, but as per my original point, we need someone who will score goals now in those wide positions. Unless Almiron replicates his scoring form again, we don't have one.
  19. That's why a loan would be ideal. Can test his fitness/aptitude, fills a midfield spot, and allows us to spend money elsewhere. If he's not up to it anymore, even under Eddie, then we can buy someone else in the summer.
  20. On the assumption that Miggy won't hit the same numbers again, no there isn't.
  21. I don't know why he would think that since nothing in Gordon's career suggests he's a consistent goal scorer.
