He definitely doesn't have the team playing to it's potential. You can liken it to a lesser version of Chelsea who have fantastic players but look awful as a collective due to the manager. If he stays he really needs to add to his coaching staff so they can do the things that he can't with the players.
Tbf him dropping too deep criticism is something based on weeks and weeks not just today.
Pards needs to sort it out there is no reason at all for him to drop so deep, i'm convinced its the main reason he hasn't as many goals as he should have.
It's probably Pardew's instructions/training. It's something he didn't do last year.
He's probably the most useful player in terms of forging a partnership as he brings recovery pace to the table which none of our other central defenders have.
When teams sit back against us having dawdlers like Jonas and Tiote aren't much help. We need players who are able to think and play at a much higher tempo out there.
What's their away record like in Europe?
EDIT: Looks like they lost two away group games, drew with Udinese and drew 1-1 with Hannover (last minute equaliser when Hannover were throwing every one forward to get the second goal they needed).
