So if we can't spend money, why bring in Paul Mitchell in the summer? What's his job if he's not signing or selling any players?

They lost 5-0 to Bournemouth last week and put in a way worse performance than us today.

What changes should he have made?

We've spent next to no money in a year and a half. At some point that excuse wears thin.

Find it hard to blame him for anything today. We've been on a great run but he hasn't been aided in the transfer window to give the squad more depth and options and eventually those first team players are gonna start to be run into the ground. Fingers should be pointed elsewhere.

Its hard to pass another transfer window with no significant squad improvements and not be asking questions of the guy whose job that is.

Such a paradox supporting both Newcastle and the Denver Broncos. On paper we look relatively similar, finishing high, more wins than losses. But with the Broncos we could beat the mid to lower teams easily and couldn't beat the best teams. With Newcastle we can beat all the best teams but struggle massively against mid level teams, especially at home.

We've been giving them everything this second half.

Not sure if you're talking about Shearer or Isak here but I think Shearer actually is charismatic. He just has this restrained boring BBC persona on TV unfortunately. If you cut him loose he'd be much more entertaining to watch.

My most hated in order: Brewce (ugly fat cabbagehead) Pardew (more his bulletproof nature despite breaking negative records left right and center) Souness (not a football manager. Just a bullying bastard) Gullit (his arrogance and how he treated Shearer/Lee) Dalglish (wrong time probably in hindsight given the need to sell players, but amongst some good signings, he signed some epic whoppers as well which meant it took years to recover)

The West Ham one was inexcusable considering how bad they are and how little we even tried.

Or this is a purple patch season. He was genuinely incapable of hitting a barn door when he was here. That miss against Sheffield Wednesday is one of the worst shots I've ever seen from a professional striker.

That loss to Brighton keeps looking worse.
