Much improved today bar failing to deal with one or two cross field passes in the air.

    Ryan Taylor

Or doing useful things when he does play in the Carling Cup. I thought he was fairly poor against Chelsea, aside from the superbly executed FK. Besides, he was at full-back. The only player who was poor in that game was Lovenkrands.

Is that why Hughton dropped him today? He's been dog s*** so far this season.
  5. Created our only real chances against Stoke. Crossed and finished his own goal today. Better than Messi tbh.

Might as well play him instead of Routledge. We'd at least get some decent crosses for once.
  7. Was refreshing to see Nolan subbed today. Was disappointing to see him start though. Sad thing is now there's no-one who can replace him unless he's going to play 2 up front.
  8. Well you can't speak up against referees without getting fines/bans so they won't feel they have to do anything about the continual terrible refereeing performances.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

It's a broken leg, how much more serious does it get for a footballer? Death? Beheading.

If we get this thread to 500 pages will his broken leg magically heal?
  11. Ryan Taylor has to come in against Wigan. He may be a very limited player but he has end product something Routledge seems to have none of anymore.
  12. rubbish that always favours the big sides? thats beyond rubbish its corrupt Oh I agree that the 'top' clubs get the rub of the green, but that's different to them being paid off etc as some are suggesting. No it's definitely corrupt in my eyes. No way he could be in the position he was and miss the foul on Ameobi. Didn't even give a free kick for the leg breaking scissor kick by De Jong either.
  13. Worst part is that Nolan and Routledge have free passage in the team for a while longer and can continue to do absolutely nothing for a few more months.
  14. I'd say the worse the conditions are the less City players might fancy putting in a performance.
  15. Isn't there more pressure put on officials to let games go ahead if they're on TV?
  16. "Can't sub Nolan, Can't sub Nolan." "Nolan will beat me if I sub him. Nolan will beat me if I sub him."
  17. Those driven low balls accross the six yard box are not what you want at all are they? Was exactly how we should have attacked Stoke. They gobble up every thing in the air but their defence are slow and clumsy.
  18. He was. Set up our only 2 real chances in open play.
  19. Nice corner for Ameobi's winner against Chelsea too. He's not actually as unproductive as people seem to think.
  20. Was one of the few positives today.

    Home form

Today it was like watching us 2 seasons ago at home. If a team set out to defend all game we have no way of breaking them down.
  22. Just never seems to make the right substitutions. Ben Arfa coming off threw away the game.
