This attitude that because Ashley wants £300m then she’s stupid not to pay £300m is ridiculous. So dd and our actual worth means nothing? Whatever he wants, you should pay or you’re a time waster? Sounds like that is from the Dummies guide to buying anything.
-
Wonder why it took so long? It usually takes seconds for a clip to be brought up on TV.
-
Exactly. A business negotiator isn’t just going to chuck another £50m-£100m in like it’s a £15 tip. I imagine they’ve done some homework and come to a valuation based on that.
-
According to Caulkin they made two offers: - The first was meeting the asking price of £300m but was to be paid in instalments and had conditions (e.g relegation) - The second was a take it or leave it £250m cash upfront. Both reasonable given the circumstances.
-
Rinse and repeat.

She just turned up at the curry house?

It’s worth that, no reason he should take less. It's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If £300m is a reasonable price, where are the other bids? He’s stripped the club bare, selling off land, Championship level squad, no guarantee of which league we’ll be in. She’d be crazy to bid £300m.

Seems to be Ashley.
-
He has to wait til the middle of January to be given a derisory transfer kitty, yet he’ll get criticised when the players he brings in aren’t good enough
-
Damned either way. We’ll get turned over by Chelsea. Or if Norwich win at Stamford Bridge you’d fancy them to beat us at home easily. Ah well.
-
What does she care?

Wraith says there’s no chance of it happening today. I for one can’t wait for the BBC interview this afternoon.

What is the worst ever run incidentally? Most consecutive PL defeats 15 - Sunderland (2002/03) Most consecutive PL matches without a win 32 - Derby County (2007/08) NETD

I’d still take him over every possible alternative. He really is the best we can hope for. And if reports are to be believed, the reason we’re finally cutting Ashley out of the club.
-
If PSG can spend £200m on one player, I’m sure we could buy a couple of players for £20m a pop and not get excluded from world football.
-
Always seems to make the wrong decision when we’re up against it. Can’t stand it when a player shoots from like 35 yards out when we’re chasing an equaliser. 99 times out of 100 it hits a defender and they clear.
-
He’s been shafted, like every manager before him (McClaren aside). Isn’t beyond criticism but really can’t do a lot more at the moment.
-
When your luck is out, it’s out. Doesn’t matter how well you play sometimes. We just have to stop this spiral.

Not being restricted on loan fees/age would be a good start.

Someone obviously got some complimentary poppadoms ey Mike?

If true it's mental that we're even having this conversation when Ashley just watched us win a game thanks to a 32-year old with no sell on potential
-
We should have never let them score, and then we should have got a second. We'd already lost the penalty shootout when Shelvey was walking up. Never seen a bunch of players already look defeated.
