  1. Haven't been on there in ages but that just tempted me to have a look. Seeing Leazesmag's mind-numbing essays on the virtues of Freddie Shepherd just confirmed I wasn't really missing anything.

Believe me, we are as bored of them as you are.

See how easily generalisation of a whole board happens though...

  2. Name Steve

    Location Newcastle upon Tyne

Bio 33 year old pre-Sky Newcastle fan. Season ticket holder since 1991

    Hmm :shifty:

Between the fans that live further than a mile from the ground, those born further than a mile from the ground, those that aren't Geordies, those that are foreign, those that are Geordies but too young, those that are Geordies but not worthy, those that are Geordies but moved away for even a week... I think his ideal match day experience is an attendance of 1.

  3. Must have been all very confusing with Chelsea United, Barca United and Shakhtar United all playing tonight as well.

In any case, I'd say Simpson busting a gut on the pitch almost every game speaks louder.

  4. Nasri for Young Player? I find it odd to have guys over 21 up for that award (like Milner last season). Especially given that nowadays players are better sooner. With the current rules we'll be getting more and more instances where a player should be winning both which I feel isn't in the spirit of having the two awards.

  5. If only there were subtitles.

Mimi sums it pretty much up in her posts:

Just add to that: He says a little more about De Jong in that he finds it silly that it wasn't even a foul at the time. And that if he wasn't punished in the aftermath then he has no incentive to not do it again.

That being a #10 is his preferred position but it carries more responsibilities, he's often been asked by coaches to play on either wing and has adapted.

Since the injury happened: it was a shock, a brutal stoppage. He had to look ahead and even consider what his life would be like if his career had ended, and when his career will end.

He was able to live a little more discretely being out of the spotlight, got closer to friends and family and gave him a chance to travel too. He feels it has done a lot of good, and only time will tell, but a lot of good might come from it.

  6. The mackems laugh at him and call him so many names, yet he's the sort of personality and midfielder that their team is literally crying out for.

And he's put 4 past them this season and all that :D
