Liking the look of Carroll so far. Shola... well... goalposts are goalposts in any league. And he can hit the ball way off target in any league too.

Was a terrible lay off too actually. Carroll put far too much pace on it and also passed to his right foot! You could see Duff was asking for it on his left.

Still scary defending. Give the ball to Jonas and Enrique, they seem like they could stroll through the opposition.

In might generic but it shouldn't be overlooked how absolutely terrible it is.

Stoichkov was at his best from 90 to 94 I know but in the second bit I'm comparing the times they had Bobby as manager. But as I said anyway in their primes Shearer would still be ahead I think.

I'd pick Shearer over the Bulgarian both in their primes any day and a 01-03 Shearer seems better to me than a 96-98 Stoichkov. A little moot though as they'd both be sitting on the bench watching Ronaldo and Romario start in this team.
