Many of us have been asking for this sort of system for a long time now.(including HTT). If KK didn't think this was a great idea...then he truley is yeasterday's man. I'm not that bothered that he's gone now. Sorry, but Keegan dosen't have my sympathy. I blame him for this mess too. Whether you agree with Ashley vision or not, I find it very hard to understand how anyone can agree with a manager being undermimed. thats the point. nobody knows if he was. the club official statement said keegan knew his remit......he hasn't responded on that bit.

Keegan was supposed to work while unable to spend. money has been spent..............i wonder if more was there and wasn't used for whatever reason ?
-
probably the structure will survive as long as we have the current owner and management fuck knows

Kevin Keegan has Kevin Keegans best interests at heart. People really need to f*** off with this whole selfless martyr image of him they're trying to build. IF people start f***ing u about at wherever u work, will u just carry on and let them? and theres no possibility he was playing power games ? If he was, he's won, and good for him. I know who I'd back if you were asking me between Keegan and Ashley, who has the clubs interest at heart. he won what. he's out of a job.we aren't any better off and more people on here distrust him than before. some win!! what the f*** would a draw have got him ? He wins if he engineers the downfall of an owner and setup that he believes is unfit to run the club. For what it's worth, I don't believe we've seen the last of the Keegan Newcastle relationship. 95% of the fans right now want Keegan back and Wise and co. out. I don't want to speak for everyone, but that is certainly how my family and group of friends feel. And to be honest, the majority of the people angry at Keegan on here are just doing so to go against the grain, basing it on very little. whereas my lot are very much of the opinion that he's as much to blame as the rest. you'll find that those on here angry at keegan are basing it on the FACT thast we haven't filled in the blank pieces with our imaginations and are waiting for facts. like it or not, keegan lied and i have as much reason to believe him as i have wise, ashley or whoever.

"Mongs"... Given that you use vocab like this then I despair with this club as you idiots use this vocabulary and you feel it is appropriate and is not a reason as to why the world ridicules the club. Grow up you f***ing idiots... Yes! Exactly. Anyone who wants Shepherd back, even in a figurehead capacity, wants to remember who royally shafted us and made us a total laughing stock in the first place. want is too strong a term but if he came back with say...........£700million worth of backing ? If you had £700 million would ask Shepherd to do that? i would actually.just to take the piss. Out of who? everyone that would cry like 4year olds if shepherd came back

There's always a choice. Maybe he could have stuck to the contract he signed and let the director of football sign the players like he agreed when he came here? That's just one version of the truth that's going round, but the point is to say it's all Ashley's fault and not Keegan's when you have NONE of the facts at your disposal is just plain daft. And you've figured this out how exactly? That's not to say he won't negotiate a good price, why shouldn't he? But to speculate on what that price is would be silly. Some would argue that the club is now worth a hell of a lot more than it was before anyway, as we're now solvent and not liable to have to call the receivers in any day. The qoutes from Ashley, Keegan, and Wise over the past few months (all stating that Keegan had final say on transfers), would lead me to believe that the club statement about Keegan agreeing to have no say was a face saver, and complete bullshit. yet when keegan said they had brought gutierrez to him there must've been the idea then ? and even then keegan was saying he had the final say. Yeah. I still think he'd been made promises (certain players being bought, Owen's contract being sorted), and when it reached the end of the window and we'd just sold a RW for £12m and not replaced him, he thought "f*** this, I'm off".... quite rightly too. and if it's true that we tried for schweinsteiger but the player pulled out at the last moment. he's walked over that ?. i doubt it or if true i'm pleased he's gone.

Yes he was and personally, I couldnt give a flying f*** if he was socialising while he was out there. I appreciate that he cant just drop everything just because Keving Keegan has walked out. But we are back to communication again arent we. How hard could it have been for someone at the club to sit in front of Look North or something and just say "the club are working on things and that Mike will be returning from a business trip in the US to talk to Kevin personally in a few days. In the meantime, Derek Llambias will be talking to Kevin". I know that is all superficial and could mean nowt but you know what, it doesnt give the impression that they dont give a f*** about sorting out their differences right then. at that time what could he have said to make you feel better ? "err kevs resigned but i'm gonna try and talk him back round"

Well I never thought Keegan would return in January but as this club has shown us many times...anything is possible. probable where NUFC are concerned.

I know mate and I am as guilty as the next man for siding with Keegan. I cant help it. I know he has failings but he has earned my favouritism. This thread is about Ashley and what he has done to make us trust him. That one act for me, made me feel really let down. This is the owner that goes to the matches with "King Kev" on his back. It looks like he decided to turn his back on him when the club was going through the biggest load of s*** I have known for a long time. Do you think he's that evil that he'd have worn that shirt if he'd been deliberately trying to undermine Keegan from the start like some people seem to think? Dont think he is evil at all. He has just given me a reason not to trust him. For such a heart felt statement about his love of football and the club and its fans, he didnt see fit to personally take care of the issue. And for what its worth I dont think he is undermining Keegan himself, its the team he put in place. wasn't he on business in the states ?. yes i know he had a party but i doubt business meetings etc take all day every day.. he has a billion pound business of which NUFC isn't the major part and ,within his plans, without the major part of his businesshis plans for NUFC wouldn't happen.

it wouldn't bother me if he did providing he had the backing and didn't lead us into an unsustainable style of running the club and didn't appoint s*** managers time after time. In other words, it bothers you. no. i just wouldn't want him making the same mistakes as last time. Yeah, like I said: In other words it bothers you. it bothers me if he comes back in as before. if he is leading a mega package and doesn't make decisions concerning managers, keeps his gob shut then i'm cool with it. That's never ever ever going to happen though, is it!?! If you're expecting him to keep his gob shut, he's hardly made a good start, has he! He's let it slip that two consortia have approached him, it's a pretty safe bet those were supposed to be private conversations, I'd have thought. If you're suggesting he should or would be a figurehead, well what's the point in that? he hasn't got the finance to do it on his own, i reckon he could come back as a figurehead. the NUFC way is to get a consortium of locals who'll buy out ashley, install shepherd and in 2 years we'll be where we were circa january 2007. yes indi. i'm bothered

lock this thread now before he has a chance to post. it'll drive him mental(ler)

I think we all underestimated FFS. on the other hand.....sold for £130mill bought back for £260mill

Because I have no reason not to. If a bunch of angry mongs circlejerking on a message board, repeating their conspiracy theories and posting a bunch of bullshit is enough to sway you then so be it. But the facts and situation is hardly as black and white as some on this board would have you believe. Not basing my opinion on internet bullshit. The single worst factor for me was him not personally coming back to sort out this whole mess. Just sent totally the wrong message out to me What's your views on Keegan's use of lawyers and the LMA to sort out this whole mess? He should sue Ashley into the ground. Hmm, I wonder if he will. He should. i wonder if he's asked his legal team about it and i wonder if he doesn't people will infer from it that he wouldn't have won ?

Keegan is bound to need some support in this whole mess so I have no issue with it. All the clubs statements will have been pub;ished after consultations with their lawyers. Unless I missed something, he has only said brief statements about why he left. But this isnt about Keegan. its about what Ashley has done to make people trust and believe inhim and you don't think keegan has lawyers working for him ?

ashley or HTT ?
