  1. He was there. Then he's more brainless than I thought. i've always thought that
  2. weak and shallow squad granted. but nowt to do with the manager past or present. as weeek a squad as that, that got pushed over atr everton and bolton a season or so a go. the first 16 or so is getting there. the squad is piss thin.
  3. I think when he was signed we all hoped someone better would come in and he wouldn't be a starter, but with the way he's played here in general so far I think your comment is harsh. He has promise IMO. nothing i've seen yet will convince me otherwise.
  4. there is no evidence and we should blame only when we found out where the blame lies
  5. totally. i doubt guthrie would have lashed out if it werent for the atmosphere.
  6. If anybody thinks anything which happened in the crowd contributed to us throwing away 3 points then they are potentially nuts. Are you saying that the crowd has no effect on what happens on the pitch? You might want to let FIFA and UEFA know as they class away goals as more valuable than home ones. Perhaps we should play all our home games at the Emirates, their pitch is better than ours, or even the Stadium of Light maybe. It definitely had an effect upon the team, whether we'd have won without it I have no idea, but it certainly didn't help. if anything the atmosphere picked up because of the banner, got people off their seats and making a bit of noise. the team certainly looked better after it than they did before. you reckon. the players didn't play worse because of the banner but they did play worse.
  7. NUFC is a ride. strap yourself in and see where you end up.
  8. and that makes him right ?

    Players in public

same as everyone else....plenty of skanky shags around.
  11. Hs odds have been sneaking in over the last day or so..... If the choice comes down to Poyet, Ince or Bruce, how many would actually prefer Bruce?? if your gonna have trouble would you want alzheimers, parkinsons or motor neurone disease ?
  12. so did keegan when he apparently knew he didn't.
  13. not completly improbable but most times these "chance" spottings occur, they aren'r chance at all...if you get my drift ?
  14. 4-time accumulator..back bradford and brum, lay man city and gillingham
  15. do you think the share price that ashley originally paid may have been skewed a little by the debt ?
  16. perhaps cliff will stand in the directors box at half time and sing to the crowd, i'll join you in that protest
  17. Milner was unhappy with his wages, a contract he'd signed only a year earlier with 3 years left to run. An offer came in for him which we turned down. As you say Milner then saw that as an opportunity to get a raise. We turned his proposal down, which was the right thing to do IMO considering he'd just had one of his worst seasons only one year after signing his last contract. Milner asked to go and we got a fantastic offer, so we accepted it. To say that we decided to move him on to pay for the likes of Coloccini, or that we'd budgeted for selling him, just isn't fair at all IMO. There's really nothing at all to support that conclusion. Especially as no one in their right mind would budget getting £12m for Milner i didn't say they budgeted £12m for Milner, in fact if you read my post i mention the figure keegan allegedly slated which might be closer to what the club budgeted. before we sold milner the club may have budgeted in for moving on smith and ameobi but those didn't happen and they might have looked at an alternative way of raising funds. and in my OP im talking about how things actually turned out. you can theorise all you want but it's a fact that we spent nothing. once again people take a little detail from a big post and ignore the general argument. It was just a throw away comment in an attempt to get a smiley out of someone without even reading the quoted post - which it did! I've had a look at your post and agree with some parts (specifically budgetting for Shola's sale and potentailly Smith's also. However as an 'insider' has leaked the £12m budget I think that it would be equally fair to say that the Milner sale was completely unplanned. I don't agree that we've spent nothing. We just recuped an equal amount. Did Spurs spend nothing this summer? Their situation was slightly different as they were pretty much guaranteed £25m+ for Berbatov which they could feasibly spend upfront. I doubt that they nad anticipated selling Keane though so maybe only the Pavluchenko signing was unplanned? I'd suggest that it was htought that we would sell Emre, Rozenhal, Shola and possibly Zoggy and therefore the bulk of any scouting work would have been centred around replacing these players and possibly buy a playmaker in addition. The Milner sale would not have been planned but when the offer of £12m came around it was stupid to turn it down. As for the making the request public. If I was to go to my boss to hand in my notice (which effectively is what Milner did) in the hope that I would get a payrise then I could have no complaints if my job was advertised even if I had asked for no-one to be informed. He played a joker and the club called his bluff. I (sincerely) hope he is happy at Villa and makes the move a success - he was going nowhere fast by staying here. wasn't this the same insider who said keegan knew exactly what his remit was and wanted henry.lampard etc. Dunno. Are A.N Insider and A Source the same people? was it the NOTW one ?

  19. Because we've beaten them all Barca and Inter topping my list then i was about to dive in two footed and say we never beat inter. (NE5 would have had a field day) It was 2-2 that day iirc and they trashed us 1-4 at home!! We beat them in the 60`S or something I think. Or you could just swap Inter with Juve we beat them in the 60's. thats what i meant by NE5 would've done me.
  20. change the names to hiddinck and hitzfeld then bruce and o'leary and it has an all too familiar ring to that post.

  22. ive been trying to get this exact point across for ages. What are people actually protesting about? Keegan resigning and walking out on us (again) I think. There again maybe it's about Directors of Football interfering with managers running of clubs e.g Dennis Wise interfering with Keegan's role, or possibly Keegan interfering with Ray Wilkins role in another club or something like that. ive been trying to get this exact point across for ages. 23. There's a difference between replacing a player who the manager is not happy with (both Allardyce & Keegan have been reluctant to play him) and just getting rid of a regular first teamer. I'm sure you can see that. That's Wengers policy at Arsenal too. The c***. What happens at Arsenal when the player becomes a first team regular? Does he: a) Sell him b) Give him a good salary to keep him happy Hint: Arsenal have the 3rd highest wage bill in the League. In the 06-07 season it was 40% higher than ours. Arsenal's relative success is not sustained quite as cheaply as is made out. Are we really trying to follow the Arsenal model (with Wise as a young Wenger) when our best young players are complaining about contracts throughout the season and handing in transfer requests? ask hleb and flamini.
