Who'd you get to have a word with him Wull? He's obviously heard my statistic that I've been telling everyone. Let's hear it...............one more time..... Can't say I've had the pleasure of hearing it yet. Oh alright, you've twisted my arm. 30 points from 60 without Duff. 2 points from 33 with him. 27 points with allardyce....4 with keegan lies, damned lies and aaaallll that

It's hilarious when these debates on financial matters take place on here. Loads of people chip in but only about 1 or 2 people seem to have any idea what they're on about. bet you mean yourself and chez

joking....would you leave him in control of hot liquids ?

i'm speechless.

what would premiership crowds be like if it was £10 to get in. it's far cheaper in germany to go to football and good on them for having it that way Agreed, but thats also the reason it doesnt have the talent of the premiership! Also, few premier league clubs can hold 50,000. Bring back standing and have a world cup here. and it might happen. I always use the size of the stadiums as an argument that average attendances in England would be much higher if some of the stadiums were bigger. But here in Germany attendances have been very high and increasing since the 90s. Safe standing surely does play a part in it, as do the much more affordable ticket prices. not many sell out on a regular basis.

so he sold iff a large chunk of his company at an inflated price and is in the process of buying it back at knock down prices. seems rather a clever fella to me. he's not liked for the same reason warren buffet wasn't liked. he gets it right by ignoring what others think.

I would happily swap having the 'talent of the premiership' for having 10 quid tickets and safe standing. football would be miles better. Why don't you just support a league two team then? because league two isn't of the standard og the german league.

i've never played but i understand the premise.....however the way you describe it he could leave it open for years till it recovers.

and none of it matters if the bet has been settled and isn't on going.

Drogba misses a few, but I'd say the other two were fairly clinical. More to the point, all three are capable of making their own chances, and of creating things for team mates, to a far higher degree than Owen. If a striker is gaining his place up front as a specialist finisher, then his conversion rate is more important. Isn't that argument redundant now seeing as Owen is playing deeper and playing as a link man? I take your point, but the exchange was about his worth as a striker, as compared to other strikers. As I said earlier, if his future worth now needs to be decided on his performances in a more withdrawn role in a 4-3-3, then we need to see a fair bit more of him in that position. Everyone seems to be getting carried away, on the basis of one and a half decent-but-not-outstanding performances against teams in the relegation zone. i don't think his performances need to be seen like that as i'd think keegan is using at as the best he has at his disposal and probably not likely to be carried on to next season.

have you read kaka's post on this page ?

i'd think ipswich for him would be regaular games and a shop window.

Played one friendly match against Hannover was without Owen and Barton and lost 2-0. Then I went on to draw 0-0 with Wigan in the first league match The lines curve themselves when you set them to run askew. even on a virtual game he must have retired by now ?

i dont fancy this one at all. only hope the confidence isn't dented too much for rerading.

sure i read somewhere that one of the big euro clubs, barca or inter or somesuch only pay their youth team players a pittance in their hands with the remainder being banked for when the player reaches a certain age or moves on.

IF we could be sure of his fitness we'd have to keep him. 15goals in 34 starts in a poor team tells it's own story.(34 starts in 3 years is another story) as always every player is replaceable and it would all depend on who we replaced him with

in the first half, for maybe 30mins the front 3 rotated a fair bit. sometime viduka would be left most, owen right and martins through the middle then as play developed they'd move again and stay therein a defensive capacity.
-
first off it's his money. secandly he was,as the story goes originally betting with £300,000 per point and probably never thought that the fall could be so much.

have you read the thread ? At now point other than from you has it been said on this thread that it was spread betting. Regardless, you normally have to spend a lot more to lose a lot in financial markets, and the chances are that NOTW changed putting £129m on falling assets into losing £129 in total if you get what I mean. stozo on this very page aswell points it out aswell. have a read of the article.

Don't think his head is sorted with all the court stuff going on. funny how it affects different players. lee bowyer probably had his best spell at leeds when his court case was on-going. as if football freed him from it for a bit.

doubt it's 2bill in the bank. i'd assume a lot is invested, bonds and the like aswell as in the markets.

must be exciting for them. just think of the flash cars, nightclubs, slappers that want a shag cos you're a footballer, the shitty attitude.
