  1. either failed his mediacl or couldn't agree terms
  2. i hope they pass the 2nd test if the 1st test can take 39 pages.
  3. You haven't thought about what I said. If Geordies stop buying milk from Tesco then Tesco continues. On the other hand....If Geordies stop buying football then the club folds. buying milk was abad example, use the term "goods" and tesco's folds.
  4. it isn't that they are too tired as much as they are not in as good condition as someone who hasn't played as much
  5. Yes. People need to grasp the fact that the club wasn't on the brink of some great calamity. not on the brink....but walking towards it.
  6. How much was the original loan? I'm sure it wasn't much different to £45 million. never mind mick. The top 4 who win all the trophies have debts of 1.5bn quid between them. I'm pleased you think we are in better shape than those 4 clubs and didn't waste any money in the transfer window mackems.gif we've been through the debt thing before...they produce turnover to finance it....we dont...thats why our debt has escalated. we have indeed. Simple fact is that NUFC will never go bust and the nearest they will ever be is where they were when the Halls and Shepherd saved it in 1992. As I have also said, the top 4 are quite happy with their debts - and success on the field, the purchase of these despicable "trophy" players, and the trophies that these players win. While some people on here prefer us to operate a "sell to buy" policy, buying a host of Johnny Averages and fight a relegation battle as a result, simply because they didn't like the fat b****** and were so absolutely obsessed and had their heads in the sand so much re their hatred of the fat b******, they even rather sadly dismissed his attempts to back his managers to bring top quality players to the club, being totally incapable of admitting or even realising that this is indeed the way that a club such as NUFC should be operating. you haven't quiteexplained why we couldn't do a leeds ?

  8. if i had a time machine you couldn't have made that post
  9. He's world class tbh, seen him on YouTube, he's great, done a good job for me on FM too (cost £20m though) and he's my master league's star striker on Pro Evo. Quality player really, just what we need, should push us on into Europe hopefully. He is also the mother of my child and I worship him every night before I go to bed in my NUFC pyjamas. is he now..I have twins to the twat..looks like the CSA can get him after all
  10. yes and no. he's done as much if not more than many others who have them, but most who have them don't deserve them.
  11. HTT................A rob lee would more than survive today, how, because of his movement. you think the game now is massivly different, i don't see it. a bit quicker granted but no sciesmic changes. you say a 6'2 would eat up a juninho type player now as if viera or keane didn't exist then. as for temas being pretty ordinary to watch outside of man utd and arsenal..who was good to watch when we finished 2nd twice ?...us and man utd (even that 2nd time we were very hit and miss). when we langushed under guillit how many teams were good to watch. tell you what portsmouth's away early performances were very good (not just up here),villa on occasion can be good to watch when young and agbonlahor are firing. i agree that we aren't getting as many kids through because they aren't playing as much as we did.
  12. it's great if you quickly look down the football threads page cos it looks like "letitia dean set to sign"
  13. Sounds like we might lose Owen in the summer through that construction as well then? Strange that nobody from the press has been putting stories into the world about Owen wanting to be desperate to leave and willing to buy out his contract to leave for another, bigger club.. been trying to find the exact legislation but it's on a fifa site on a pdf file which for some reason the bairns PC wont display. my guess is the rules will be in herehttp://www.fifa.com/aboutfifa/federation/administration/playersagents/regulationstatustransfertsplayers.html ....Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players (2008) » if anyone would care to take a look.

    Who is better?

at what...darts,yahtzee,pin the tail on the donkey ?
  15. brothers,cousins...in pennywell they could be both
  16. i'm looking forward to the "how mentally fit are footballers?" thread
  17. i think (and i'll probably be corrected on this) that any player over 28 who is in the final year of his contract has the right to buy himself out of his contract (as diatta did a doo wah diddy dee diddy dum) for the cost of his remaning wages. so ineffect there is a lot of players out there who could still move on. in the diatta case i wonder if he "knew" a club such as ourselves would make a move for him should he buy himself out of his contract.
  18. all completly true, but unfortunatly fred was taking us back to whence we came both on and off the pitch....thats why I say he had to go.
  19. chill out man, push two normal sized beds together, lie down and relax.
  20. what usually happens is that they'll match the value of your first bet up to £25. so you bet £25 and they'll credit your account with another £25 but all you'll get is the winnings on that bet (you don't recover the stake) keep looking, sky bet had a free £25 without even havig to deposit any cash while back.
  21. Just a shame it isn't a real sport. Why? It's American. Is it just because we speak English better than you? yes. but you don't listen.
  22. Just a shame it isn't a real sport. Why? It's American. and created by a canadian Bloody hell, really? Even worse then. They started out using some fruit basket.... took them years to finally put a hole in it. Can't remember exactly how long it went on for, but for a significant length of time they had to use a ladder to get the ball down everytime someone scored. they still use the fruit basket in korfball but us clever civilised westerners had the sense to pot a hole in the base.

    This is football

I've felt like this for ages. I remember, in the innocence of my youth, I used to have a soft spot for a few other teams (like Sheff Wed and Liverpool for some reason). When our clubs were let back into Europe I used to root for them on telly (wasn't anywhere near as much live football on in them days). Even used to support England! I don't know if it was a gradual change or one specific incident/season that changed my attitude but I've been very spiteful concerning all other clubs for a long time. perversly the only other club i give a fuck about is sunderland in that their results can affect my mood etc.
