But he's right, we don't need any set number of points, we just need to finish 17th. Last season 29points stops up, 28 with a better goal difference.
-
When they scored it was the loudest noise I'd heard inside a football ground and it wasn't even full. Saying that I'd love to hear what it sounds like from the away seats at SJP when we score.
-
If its a defender aye, Scholes got away with them for years, Kane still does.
-
You are totally right, especially as the rules state we can only chase/negotiate with one player at a time.
-
Fancy that, yet another clear penalty not given by VAR and the big clubs benefits.
-
Shouldn't be called the Living wage, should be the barely existing wage.
-
I think the living wage is higher than the National minimum wage so they are making a commitment to pay the worst paid staff more........still a very poor rate of pay mind.

1 more signing like Bruno changes everything. It will be in players minds that a Chelsea/Man City type thing is happening and they'll want in on it. It was there to see with Botman and Carlos wanting to come but players of that next level up will see it as well. It also affects transfer fees, in January we paid a double premium, our wealth tax and relegation threatened desperation, the latter wont be there in the Summer should we stop up.
-
Nah, Bolton only scored 5.
-
Last week they said it was the worst result in their history, 5-0 defeat away to a mid table third tier team.............it only took 7 days to beat it, what chance a triple ?
-
I think that's more down to a change in tactics than Shelveys ego. Hopefully they'll compliment each other, then Bruno takes that role
-
Was that because of Rafa and Big Dunc or because Calvert Lewin and Richarlison were out ?
-
I don't remember many times I thought he was particularly good defensively. His being comfortable on the ball often covering for that.
-
No. No he wasn't. He wasn't even very good class. None of them were. The reason we played 3 centre halves was because none of them played particularly well even given the poor midfield.
-
About as likely as Willocks England call up.
-
Has any manager ever managed so many teams in stripes ?
-
Bearing in mind our two defenders not registerd have prem experience, played together, some championship club could see them as a job lot, a ready made pair, half a ready made defence, anyone after that could be said to be Looking for Lewis and Clark
-
He's entertaining as a pundit. That's as far as it goes.
-
I think we'd have loads chomping at the bit if we stop up, but whatvI was getting at was ways round FFP which you included with the Everon example. I was just thinking Man Utd had Saudi partners for about a decade, A Thai tyre partner.....could be infinity if you wanted to force it.
-
It's not clever accounting but basic and stretches all that out doesn't it ?The owners can transfer 30mill in as and when needed for accounting and that 3 year is rolling so next year's will be different again given projected new sponsorships/partnerships won't it ? You appear to know your stuff, I know the idea behind fair market value for sponsorships and partnerships but is there a limit to how many a club can have, ie the league say a fair market value for us to have a partnership is 10mill.......can we have 40 of them ? Tyre partner, shock absorber partner, solar panel partner, sex toy partner ?

Alternatively.....Throwing a punch at Shearer and missing, made to look like a tit when Shearer stayed calm and he got sent off and admitting Shearer was right when he called him a prick.
