How much do you reckon he would cost? £30m or more? Everton want 50m. Last year of his contract... Good luck with that. Can see him signing a pre contract for some foreign team in January and sold back to a premiership team a week later for less than half that. I just found it intriguing that Rafa in his quotes asked MA did he have to spread the budget on several players or could it be used for just one. Kind of implies he has one big signing in mind if still available at the end of the window. Or he was just checking how far he had free reign.

Not quick and he doesn't look "beefy" but strong, attributes that made Woodgate the defender he was as he made up for his lacks in ways that made him excellent........when he played. Here's hoping similar with this bloke. Woodgate not quick? Not really. You never saw him eat up ground to get back at someone, to be honest he never seemed to need to, just read things so well. I disagree but kind of see what point your trying to make. I just remember him up against Drogba for Marseille and that tackle against Chelsea thinking he was quicker than I thought before we bought him. Know what you mean, just seemed like speed wasn't part of his game too much if that makes sense.
