Nah. Their team came through, weren't their fans still celebrating losing at one point? It's actually superb that they won us the title really. Then they celebrated when Brighton lost it. They just love pissing on people's chips tbf to them. Pretty sure we'd do the similar in that position

Hope you thanked him for it.

Fatheed is old news, who cares. Have never actually been to Selhurst Park so fair enough re it's minging-ness. Normally decent to watch matches there on the box. I've been once and even then it was to see Wimbledon knock us out the league cup. Right bugger to ge to aswell.

When we got relegated at Villa and they stayed up. Tannoy guy at their place announced we were down and that picture shows the celebrations. On a day when which started with either team getting relegated. The scenes would have been the same had we stayed up and they had gone down.

Why is this s**** still being peddled? Nobody expects the c*** to put up his own money for f***'s sake, and personally I wouldn't even want him to. Given that in 2015/16 there was a net spend of 70.7million and an operating profit after tax of 4.9million https://www.nufc.co.uk/news/latest-news/annual-accounts I don't see why this shouldn't be seen as a starting point. I know it's not as simple as that, free transfers can work out expensive over the course of the contract and I can't remember any large sales in that time (?) but in general a 50million net spend should be the very minimum for the summer. We spent £50m worth of the club's cash in the bank that season. True enough. Didn't see that at first glance.

In a similar vein, "We love Newcastle, we do". It was always "We love you Newcastle, we do" when I were a kid.

Newcastle United promoted back to the Premier League

Not sure who I'd like to win the play offs. Fulham best team to watch Sheff Weds, a good mates team and northern. Huddersfield, always like it when a team who haven't been in the Top flight (at least for a long time) gets there. Reading........No.....just No! -

You know, I wouldn't be at all surprised if we didn't bother sending a plane over (I'm not in favour btw) and they had a whip round and orgainsed one for themselves so they could feel important and as if they mattered in some way.

I'd beleive it more if it had been Stephen K.

and that's just this place.

Yes and no, Dier's adaptability is fantastic and he can play them all well. In a team he's probably replaceable but in a squad and over a season he's invaluable.........or at least more important than he may appear at first sight.

wat straight from kick off. ball played by all eleven players including the keeper, and then scored without the opposotion having had a touch. I was going to go all "aye but it was Ipswich" but na.....you're right and this is my choice, great team goal and I always prefer them over someone just twatting it from 30yds.

It's more than just football though, that's why you're right in saying it doesn't matter what division either of us are in.
-
Look on Red cafe. My enemy's enemy is my friend. I'll go with what other fans have told me, nobody minds them as a club but they play crap football and they like to go there so they can spend time in Newcastle.

Newcastle United lose Judicial Review against HMRC

Bit of both. HMRC will find it easier to go after smaller businesses and individuals less able to defend themselves. What happened yesterday was probably legit but also PR. -

Brass Neck He's got a point tbh. They're like a legalised mafia. I've got personal experience of their mafia-esque behaviour. A bloke my stepdad works with was hit with a fairly large tax bill which he didn't owe and came close to him losing his home and everything they had. His wife was a housewife with no career and she self-studied tax law to overcome their problem. Once their issue was resolved she undertook full accountant training which specialises in taxes. She now works full time for little to no fee representing people who have been screwed by the tax man. My stepdad had an income tax a few years ago, how he managed it considering he has worked for North Tyneside council for over 30 years is beyond anyone's guess, but they alleged he owed them money. He sent the letter of demands off to his mates wife where she wrote back to them saying he didn't owe it because of such and such. They wrote back and changed their demand to 10% of their original request. He sent it back off to his mates wife who wrote back to them and said he doesn't owe that. The next letter he received was one saying he didn't owe them anything and that they apologise for the error. He went from being told he owed over £2,000 to owing them nothing. They really do just pick names out of the hat and request money. I'm sure I've seen the film of that, Reese Witherspoon wasn't it ? -
If it's classed as illegal payments we could be lucky for it to be a points deduction.

So I was "lucky" enough to share the train to Boro with this lot tonight and my god, is it all about us. We hadn't even reached Seaham before a chorus of "an N and an E.....". "6 in a row" featured a hell of a lot as does a new found respect for HMRC, "What's that coming over the hill, it's the tax man, it's the tax man" was genuinely funny but just shouting HMRC for a while got boring, wouldn't be surprised if they over egged it and came out with HMRC scarves. There was one really irritating bloke who tried to get a chant of "We hate boro" going at least 20 times but it just seemed like he was ignored by everyone, he wasn't helped by his pronounciation turning "boro" into "bawa".

Newcastle United lose Judicial Review against HMRC

Depends on what the leagues rules are. HMRC couldn't go beyond fining the business and maybe a jail term, the Premier league/football league on the other hand......... -

If tax fraud is seen as illegal payments this could get nasty. -
Pretty much this for me. If 1 is enjoyed it, I'll go 3.25. Love that Ketsbaia had to edit his post.

What do you class as sensible spending for this summer ?
