  1. It'll be next week. The Premier League's legal team have slightly more pressing matters to attend to, like combing through the fine print of commercial deals and working out liabilities if they recommence football and someone gets COVID-19.
  2. The "FAT COCKNEY RAPIST" banner. He did not like that.
  3. She can write all the letters she wants, she's using this to make herself relevant, there are many other ways she can seek Justice for him but this is just clear propaganda. It's about raising awareness. Who can blame her?
  4. For those of you saying "it'll never go through on a weekend" and looking forward to two days off, Sunderland announced their takeover on a Sunday lunchtime.
  5. It's absolutely fine to not care about human rights in SA (I mean, you should but it's a niche topic and there are only so many hours in the day so I understand if you don't), it's absolutely fine to think they shouldn't be anywhere near the club, it's absolutely fine to be somewhere in between. It is not fine to change your Twitter avatar to a picture of MBS and start accusing Amnesty International of being part of a conspiracy to wreck NUFC. In fact it marks you out as a reprehensible knacker, an embarassment to the football club if not the human race. Fuck those fans.
  6. Reject the opportunity to have a new potential superstar team leading to more money money money. Doubt it. In normal times? No. At the moment? Yes.
  7. BeIN have been doing this thing with increasing regularity in recent years. They've made similar threats to La Liga and Serie A when they've got close to the Saudis. I think the PL would rather not have the hassle at this point, and if they could safely reject it they would. The question is do they think they have a strong enough case to win the inevitable court action and are they comfortable setting a precident on either moral grounds or by following orders from broadcasters/getting involved in geopolitics. I definitely think there's something in the suggestion that the PL will want it off their desk and could rubber stamp it sooner rather than later. Longer it goes on the worse the outlook.
  8. This. That stuff in The Athletic article about his meeting with Rafa was mindblowing. He had a world class coach showing him how the club could wash it's face and compete, he acknowledge the numbers made sense, and he still conspired to fuck it up.
  9. More s*** craic... Genuinely can't believe people are taking the p*ss out of 'morality', beyond bizarre. Of course I want rid of Ashley...BUT IT'S TOTALLY SOUND TO HAVE CONCERNS ABOUT WHO BUYS US. I wonder what the reaction would be if it was a mackem consortium buying us. Probably f***ing uproar This. And it's also absolutely fine to not give a shit either. I personally have reservations about Saudi involvement, but it's not going to change my feelings towards the football club. Support the team, not the regime. Remember that? Some of the coverage of the takeover has been unfair. Football fans have been systematically disenfranchised and conditioned to know their place by the authorities, broadcasters and journalists for the last 30 plus years. We can't even stop Sky putting at away game at the other end of the country on a Monday night, and now we're supposed to be leading the charge for human rights in a far flung corner of the world? Miguel Delany and his ilk need to fuck the fuck off.
  10. Stuff like this is probably pretty convincing from their POV. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/11/27/manchester-city-owners-agree-sell-389m-stake-holding-company/ From their POV but not from the people putting up most of the cash. Why would they want/let the Rueben bros in on it? Could be any number of reasons - spread the risk, reduce their initial outlay, build relationships. Ultimately though, PIF have been brought in to the deal rather than being the driving force behind it. RB were already involved.

  12. The "what's X more to a billionaire" argument around our takeovers has always got on my tits, because anyone I know with any meaningful wealth is tight as fuck.
  13. The fact it mentions St James Holdings too. That's the vehicle Ashley created that holds the club's shares.
  14. You do understand that not all bad things are the same? It's why murderers go to prison for longer than shoplifters.
  15. Steve Hastie, isn't it? Heavily involved in various fan groups, foodbank etc.
  16. "KSA-style branding" So we're replacing the seahorses on our club crest with emaciated Yemeni children? Fuck this. I hope Mike genuinely has got the hump with the leak.
  17. We don't appear to have many goals in us and Norwich create chances for fun. We're getting turned over here lads. 2-0 Canaries.
  18. Rafa is a politician, and very good at playing the media, but we've had a decade of seeing Ashley at work. We know where the blame lies. He's absolutely correct to say that if he agreed to pay him more there'd be another thing and another thing and another thing. And rightly so. Because Benitez wants to win things and he knew what NUFC was capable of being if given even a modicum of TLC. He wanted investment, he wanted a state of the art training ground, he wanted better players. Good. I want that. The only times in our recent history this club has been where it should be is when we had managers that fought tooth and nail for the club. I believe Rafa was halfway out the door come May and I don't blame him. He'd had to try and deal with the cretins in charge for the last three years. He owed them and us absolutely fuck all. I can't blame him for deciding to double his money elsewhere. I'm never setting foot in the ground until Ashley goes, and I ain't earning a penny out of that arrangement.
  19. Why can't the cunt do a Matthew Harding.
  20. Edwards is a fucking clampit. If you search his name and Steve Bruce's it quickly becomes very obvious why he's went to bat for him. He's had exclusive after exclusive from him.
  21. I'm going to be controversial here, and suggest the hoardings being taken down has absolutely fuck all to do with any takeover. Nothing whatsoever.
  22. I bet my username he's not their genuine lawyer.
