Tim Krul (now playing for Luton Town)

Am I the only person who thinks Elliot hasn't really been tested? I'm convinced he's a great keeper, don't get me wrong, but he hasn't had to pull shots out of his arse like Krul has. -

He did go on to say: "he should be fully fit for the start of preseason".

Europe is always great for away fans coming onto here. It's always great fun. Apart from Olympiakos, who seemed to think that we'd declared war on them and that we gave a shit if they held our crest upside down. Fuck that lot. -

I love him. He plays defensively minded football which some might call 'dull', but when he win he gets off with blonde lasses who work for St John's Ambulance and tries to fight Martin O'Neill. -

Has been 5 years, get over it No! You have no idea how excited I was that my favourite ever player (at that time) was signing for us, and then his wife and Dennis Wise f***ed it all up. Believe me I have. I've felt the same without the bad news. Although I have to say that Pablo wasn't in shape to play the Premierleague. You're probably right. I can only imagine the carnage as Obafemi Martins didn't run onto his through balls. How was Martins career in the Toon btw? Never hear of him for years now. Only on MLO on PES 2013 Pretty s***. He scored a couple of important goals but mostly he was awful. Most of our fans want to know how we got £9 million for him from Wolfsburg. Too bad :\ It's really hard for you too build a really good team cheapily like we can. You're very limited to EU players It's not been a huge problem to be honest. We've done really well in the French market and managed to get players like Cabaye (£4m), Ben Arfa (less than £2m) and Sissoko (£1.8m), so we can't really complain. In previous years we'd made the mistake of spending a lot of money on very poor players from abroad, so this continental model is kind of working for us. -

What I want to know is will Pablo Aimar's wife spend the entire second leg in the board room sobbing inconsolably that her husband is playing in Newcastle? -

There's gannin to be loads of Super Bock and bumming. I can tell. -
He has. Problem is two of those were impact injuries that you simply can't legislate for and this seems to be a freak hamstring problem where scar tissue is causing the muscle to heal incorrectly. Nee luck. If Hatem Ben Arfa fell into a bowl of tits he'd come up sucking his thumb.
-
This, this, this. A million times this. We've got some right melodramatic wankers on here who can be up one minute and down the next. It makes it a chore to read. Having Ben Arfa will make us into a better side, but that's not to say a HBA-less NUFC is shit. The lads have done very well without him in recent weeks so lets get behind those cunts that have proven us moany bastards wrong. As for his injury attaching blame is ridiculous. He tore a hamstring and he's had complications. What more is there to say than that? Sure playing him at Anji probably wasn't perfect but considering Pardew's reticence to putting him out if he's not 100% fit I'm sure he wouldn't have been there if we didn't think he was fine. The fact we had to get a specialist in and he's advised surgery suggests that there's an underlying problem that needs sorting for him to come back 100%.

Benfica fans. Long story short, they hate Mackems. Everything's great. Don't forget Souness lol. We remember souness for the worst reasons unfortunantly It was maybe the worst times of Benfica's history Funnily enough Souness is responsible for probably the worst phase in our very recent history too. Christ, you lot are like brothers from another mother. Say you hate Ray Stubbs too and I might just adopt Benfica as my second team! -

There were times on the ball last night he looked as good as he ever has, then there were a lot times he was absolutely fucking wank. His problem is simple - he doesn't get his head up enough. His general play is very good and passing great when he looks around but when he gets caught in his own little world of physical battles with the opposition he's a liability.

I'm disappointed but that's football. Players get injured. Typical of some people on this board to go off the deep end and start screaming "sell him!"

Don't Lazio have to play their next home game behind closed doors? -
He played on for a couple of minutes after the injury happened as well. We desperately need him to be fit like, he's such a massive player for us. Our formation today didn't suit him, as both him and Tiote seemed to have been told to sit deep and pick it up from the CBs, but I thought you could still see his class, vision and importance for us during the time he was on the pitch today. One of my main gripes with Pardew is how he sees Cabaye playing for us. He's always said that he's our quarterback, that he wants him to sit deep and spray the ball about but he was at his very best last season when he pushed up into the final third. We could really do with him further up the pitch.

The two matches on that Sunday involve Man United and Chelsea. April 13/14 is FA Cup semi final weekend. There's going to be a big hole in the schedules regardless of the outcome of the replay between the two sides so I think we'll be bumped to 1:30pm. Mag conspiracy marra. Only the combined power of the Geordie Mafia and Magedia could be behind such a decision.
