Not everything has to be a profit. We could have signed Joachim Anderson for 30m 4 year deal and sold him for 25m next summer and broke even. A clever deal where we temporarily improve the squad could be the difference of 10s of millions in prize money.

I don't know why every one of our signings needs to be a potential superstar or a young player. Sometimes you can paper over the cracks for a season with decent loan.

We have Kelly and Burn who can play LCB, Guehi is better than both but not a required upgrade imo. Botman will not be back this season imo. Mings did his 12 months ago and isn't ready yet.

I've done the same, I'm confident though, aiming for a top 50k finish this year. Can Haaland really play 2 games a week for an entire season? Alvarez played a lot of minutes last year.
