It’s not a huge step up though our goals next season will be top half same as Brighton, he could easily get in the Liverpool or Man U team. Arsenal love to sign centre backs too.

Why would Van Hecke choose us? Brighton are likely to finish above us and we don’t have that pedigree yet without Europe. It’s a shame we need a major rebuild the summer we have no European football. We are going to have to think outside of the box this summer.

One thing to consider is the majority of new appointments fail after a successful manager. Also the squad needs a major revamp whoever comes in should have at least a year to sort it out and just finishing top half should be the expectation.

Not sure if he will stay or go, or even if Edward stays or goes but one of the main priorities is getting the midfield to work next season. I think finding a winger that has some actual ability and can create would help out a lot and ease the pressure on the midfield.
