Up and coming managers need time to set up a project. These top teams don’t often go for that. Will be interesting to see how much change there is this summer. There is a chance all of the top 6 this year change managers at the end of the season?

People are massively underestimating the gap between being a challenger and one of the chasing pack. The jump is huge in football as you go up levels.

I get people thinking he’s a good manager, but because he won a cup with us doesn’t make him elite. For me only Pep and Emery are elite in the PL.

I’m not saying that, I’m saying I just don’t think he’s good enough for Liverpool. Where the expectation is to challenge for every trophy and at least win one each season.

Very best out of his players is pushing it these days.

Even last year look at our games against the non top 6 or fodder. He’s always done well when the underdog but play a solid mid table team and he’s struggled.

Same with winning the title. City were a disaster and will likely win the league. Chelsea, Man U and Liverpool have all been rubbish but 2 of them will get CL. The battle for Europe is massive because of you are mid table now your get Europe. More to play for is making teams more scared to lose and less freedom. Most games are utter shit.

He’s never really done well when he’s on the front foot. I don’t think you could sell his style of play to Liverpool or their fans.

I wonder what his appetite is like for next season. If this season was on Footie Manager I’d just start a new game. Goalkeeper situation is a mess defence 3 stalwarts aged out or leaving. midfield is broken although I think this is solvable wingers a mess strikers a mess. Knowing you are probably getting sacked if you don’t turn this round is tough.

He had another one where he went in above the ankle with studs another game too.

I honestly don’t think he would be off, I see these big teams linked to him but I can’t see him playing for them.

Fair enough, I think that it’s fine to want to keep Howe and also acceptable to want him out.

Howe is a great underdog manager no doubts, but beating the teams that we expect too apart from the absolute fodder has been a problem. I feel like he has lost his way, possibly a hangover from him and the players because of the Isak situation. I was expecting firing on all cylinders today, if Howe could do what he did last year for the rest of the season then I’d be more than happy to keep him. Just feel it’s gone stale and a new voice is needed.

He’s still got a lot about him though. He wouldn’t be my first choice but I’d be happy with him. Same with Iraola a lot of the issues I see with Howe I think Iraola will have, but I think tactically Iraola has more to him than Howe. Not sure if he has that figurehead quality Howe does though.

Simeone is the master and Howe learned from him though, it’s a different level.

To be fair to him he was moved to LW today after a solid run at CF

Loan him out to Fulham or somewhere.

Back then missing on one signing didn’t financially impact you for 4 years or so though

This is for Wilson to decide, he should be much more knowledgeable than any of us on this. Id like to see something a bit outside of the box but anyone who comes in ill give them time.
