Eh? And Jose's one of the best left-backs in the league. Plus there's that feeling that he's 'ours'. Which is important imo. The fact of the matter is, we've got the crux of an excellent squad that has masses of potential. We need to add to it, not start again. Everything should be done to keep our best players at the club. Ben Arfa can play on the right where Barton currently plays. I'd rather keep both of them, but if they want to leave I'd rather just sell them and get it over with.

He's a Spanish lad with no real ties to the North East, if top 7 Spanish club wanted him I'd sure he would be off. Can't really blame the lad if he does want to leave.

So what if they do leave, Bartons on 80k a week we have Ben Arfa who can come in and play there. Enrique, yes it would be a blow, but he can be replaced. There are plenty of solid but not spectacular LB's that would come here.

He's also playing up front on his own, so he has to do everything as a striker, I'm sure if we got a real footballer to play along side him he would become even better.

I see Ian W point, he gets doubled up on a lot and creates space for other players. If we had someone exploiting this like Dyer used to we would get more chances.

At least he is a threat and gets in the right positions, fair enough he is offside a fair bit but for someone who was 5th choice striker at the start of the season he's doing well.
