  1. The fact that Matuidi doesn't get a touch means it can be logically seen as a hand to ball. If Matuidi flicks it to Perisic's hand, would've been obvious ball to hand.
  2. Controversial call but in no way ruining it. Common sense regarding handballs has been thrown out in this tournament, would've been shocked if an Argie ref doesn't give a pen from that.
  3. It's a yes or no between two teams.
  4. Nestor Pitana is the ref in the final and more shockingly, he's only 43 years old!!

Was Corluka really an arsehole? I've never said anything about Corluka. I don't think anyone has other than you? I haven't read every post. You didn't say anything about anybody. Sorry for making an assumption. I got the Corluka comment from here but I'm not going to go back looking for it.

Yup. Starting to think all these foreigners are just thick as fuck. Brexit seems more appealing by the minute. Holy shit man, I can't believe how touchy people are getting because a Croatian player said "it's not coming home" with a smile on his face. Jesus christ Don't be daft man. I wasn't replying to Semtex as such. I just think being offended by an opposition player playing us off with our own 'in-joke' is ludicrous Agree.

England saying 'it's coming home' is lighthearted. People now saying 'it's not coming home' are dead serious.

I don't disagree with this, for what it's worth. They've lacked grace in winning, and that's simply true. But it's not wrong to point out the negative impression there is of England as a whole from the coverage of our press, and no, not just pointing out they're tired, but they rest of it. It's coming home etc. Fair enough, I get it's us just trying to support our team, but it obviously rubs others up the wrong way. I thought the majority of the it's coming home stuff was pretty light hearted tbh, but I just don't see how they could have taken such offence to something so minor. Lots of stuff gets talked about in the run up to the games, for every team. To come out after the game with all this is just petty a bit embarassing imo. I'd probably have rooted for them in the final, but now I want to see them get panned Why are you taking their minor offences so personally? They have basically said they weren't tired, England were hoofing and it's not coming home with a smile on his face. Yet you're close to asking for an invasion.

I think the key to the result was your midfield three getting visibly tired in the second half which meant more time and space to Croatia's best players. Alli and Lingard playing 120 minutes after being wasted after about 60 minutes is ridiculous. Not sure how much to blame Southgate for that or your squad/player pool as LC and Dier were the only options to replace them. I'm definitely certain that Delph and Welbeck shouldn't have gone to Russia as they were taking valuable spots for no reason at all.
  12. Is that a dig at me, for what for fucksake? Can cunts not talk on in this place without others being absolute petty bastards? I never meant how many players in the PL, I just mean we're the home of the fucking PL. Take out England, make a name for yourself, whatever. Jesus fucking Christ. I sincerely apologise for saying Croatia will possibly raise their game. Of course they won't raise their game. They've never had any players ply their trade in the PL, what on earth was I talking about. Mea Culpa. Can't wait for this WC to be over, you can all go back to pretending not to support England anymore. There was nae need for that, but that was cathartic. That's a bit arrogant way to think, like a remnant of the imperial times. Their star players play for Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus while your star plays for Tottenham. Most of their squad play in the biggest leagues in Europe while you have squad players from the PL top six because they need homegrown players. I have a hard time imagining Modric, Rakitic, Mandzukic or even Perisic thinking that's it, I've now made it as a footballer after skipping past Ashley Young and Harry Maguire and then putting the ball past Jordan Pickford. Their national team has also been at least as successful during their brief existence as the great Three Lions from the home of the football despite having similar population to the greater Birmingham area.
  13. Lovren plays in the PL, Modric and Corluka used to play. Anyone else? I don't have facts and can't be arsed to check but seems like they have a very low number of PL players for a decent European side.
  14. I don't know, that's one of the dumbest questions I've ever seen here but at least it's not leaving the atmosphere.
  15. Get a wage? What? Managers of the England national team get paid, right?

Good, hope he is the only one.
  17. Yeah, I forgot to mention that I thought this squad was probably better than the 2014 and 2010 squads.
  18. *Coutinho *Hazard *Firmino To answer your question, I think Brazil has been going through a "lack" of talent for like a decade now if you don't count Neymar. Looking at their squads in 2014 and 2010 in Wikipedia and their forwards in 2014 were Neymar, Hulk, Fred, Bernard and Jo. 2010 it was Robinho, Luis Fabiano, Nilmar and Grafite. That's just pure garbage compared to the 1994-2006 WC squads unless nostalgia messes with my memory.
