Jamal Lewis has 30 caps.
-
ASM had two MotM’s compared to Barnes’ 0 and a higher average rating (6.80 to 6.66). At least all those goals meant Leicester had a decent season.
-
He played further up the pitch for NIR against Finland in Euro qualifiers and was one of their better players. Eddie showing his versatility to potential suitors.
-
What’s your point, you want to use per 90 for those seasons? Second sentence is just legit wtf. You should watch basketball or some other high scoring sport if your enjoyment is tied so closely to the end product, maybe you wouldn’t be so miserable then.
-
And it’s fucking stunning how some people can’t understand the difference in £30m from a European team and £30m from Saudi Arabia. Neves is hardly a bigger name but fetched Wolves £47m with a year left on his contract.
-
In 21-22 (when he started 31 games and appeared in 35 games) he had 150 successful dribbles, most in Europe’s big 5 leagues. Decent tally for a sicknote or someone Howe doesn’t fancy and in a team that didn’t control possession. 1. ASM 150 2. Vini Jr 115 3. Mbappe 111 4. Boufal 109 5. Leao 106 I’ve been getting grief for using per 90 numbers for ASM’s 22-23 so these are cold total numbers. Anyone saying ASM isn’t exciting to watch compared to almost anyone in Europe is a miserable git with really short memory.
-
His expected assists are really low though, just 0.14 per 90 at Leicester in 146 apps (or 15 in 9913 minutes). Bit concerning that Almiron had only 0.10 too last season despite the good season.
-
Has to be a purple that has been here for a decent time to get help with FFP. I would still try to move on from Almiron and it would mostly be a business decision, possibly the last window for a decent fee.
-
Would love it if Napoli matched the fee and he goes there.
-
"One of the most exciting wingers TO WATCH in Europe", no need to change my words mate. And I honestly don't think that's even a controversial opinion unless you love grit and passion over some flair and dribbling.
-
Wish you would move on with this condescending bullshit tbh.
-
So no difference in scrutiny between world record fee or something close to what Neves went for ffs?
-
I don't know about any release clauses, please show me a reliable link? In any case it doesn't change my point. I see a lot more entertainment value in £70m for ASM compared to £40m for Fabinho or £47m for Neves.
-
I'm not surprised you don't see the difference in £50m and £300m.
-
What can PL do when they have already allowed big deals go through to SA? If I was PIF and they are spending close to £40-50m a piece for Neves and Fabinho, I would absolutely think £70m for ASM would be fair value and bit of a steal considering what they try to achieve with their league. Once again, I don't think anyone cares to watch it to see slow as fuck Fabinho injure players in midfield.
-
I'm only talking about selling him to Saudi Arabia. What we would pay for him if he played for Brentford doesn't mean anything. If you can't see how we should be getting £50m for him from SA, I don't know what else to say.
-
It's SAUDI ARABIA ffs, PIF owns the teams.
-
Pretty sure I watch more than you.
-
Going past players is pretty fucking exciting to me and he's undoubtedly one of the best in that in Europe. SA want entertaining players for their people to watch, they couldn't give a fuck which team from the four they own wins their league. That makes someone like ASM worth a lot more than a fucking DMF.
-
To Saudi Arabia? Nah. Neves is the most comparable player age-wise but he only had a year left on his contract and went for close to £50m iirc. Rumoured £40m for Fabinho too but ASM isn't a DMF but one of the most exciting wingers to watch in Europe in his prime.
-
He should be going for at least £50m.
-
Bruno is having a mare.
-
That's way more on Bruno than Darlow, wanted the ball but decided he couldn't be arsed after all.
-
He turns 30 during this season, probably last chance to try and cash in on his purple spell.
