Mercenary, that's what he is.

What a load of tosh. He moved to Man City because they're way more ambitious than us. End of. The manner of his exit, the timing etc. he's just another mercenary, they all are at the end of the day. From now on I'll not be putting any stock in any of our players, Shay is the last straw. The timing of his exit? Sorry, but er... he was off well before today's game. And what's with the manner? He released a statement through his lawyer and get on with his football, unlike that french twat. He had to hand in a transfer request because time was running out.(dealine of transfer window) Man City are going places, we are not. Do you dispute that? This. Nowdays you gotta have cash to be ambitious. City had a good squad before the Arabs as well and probably had ambition of challenging the top4 one day, and with oil money, they can now actually walk the walk. Sad to say it, but if you want to break into the top4 without waiting 5 years for youngsters to break through, you gotta splash it. Thanks for the reminder actually. I totally forgot that. Well...that too refutes Shearergol's "Man City weren't ambitious until someone gave them an open cheque book" comment. Deary me. I forgot their challenge for honours too. Deary me. Vassell and Dickov unfront were immense. Yeah, I'm sure they were planning to stick with those two to lead them to glory! Progress takes time. You don't think that you can actually change your entire squad over night, do you?

He left because NUFC are unlikely to be trophy challangers any time soon. (He's getting on a bit just incase you haven't noticed.) He left for Man City because from next season they will be aiming to win something. I don't give too flying monkies how much he's getting at City. And BTW, engineering a move to Arsenal? None of the top 4 or 5 clubs came in for him because they are clearly happy with their goalkeepers. So that leaves Man City as the best next thing. (Not bad for a club aiming to be the best in the world. ) Because you're being an arse, as usual. I'm being an arse giving my opinion, and you feel the need to call me a little kid? Want me to explain irony? Got any comments on the rest of the quote or not?

What a load of tosh. He moved to Man City because they're way more ambitious than us. End of. They're ambitious because they have an unlimited supply of cash. Ashley doesn't. End of. Is that really your reason for Shay Given to stay? mackems.gif Erm, no. It's my response to your ambition claims. Man City weren't ambitious until someone gave them an open cheque book. So fucking what though? Thing have changed now. Get over it. You're laughable. You're like a little kid can't cope with the fact that your mate has got a larger lolly pop.

Taylor says Magpies boss is 'at best disrespectful, at worst deeply offensive' Published Date: 31 January 2009 Joe Kinnear's mispronunciation of Charles N'Zogbia's name is "at best disrespectful and at worst deeply offensive", according to Professional Footballers' Association chief executive Gordon Taylor. In a television interview earlier this week, Kinnear referred to the Frenchman as 'insomnia', sparking a row between the Newcastle manager and his player. N'Zogbia released a statement saying he would not play for the Magpies again under Kinnear, but the former Wimbledon boss retaliated by saying the argument was a "desperate attempt to engineer a move away from Newcastle United". Taylor has now waded into the clash between the Newcastle pair. In a statement, the players' chief said: "Why should we not expect Charles N'Zogbia to be upset when his own manager cannot even remember his correct name in public but chooses to say 'insomnia'? "Respect runs two ways. "This is at best disrespectful and at worst deeply offensive, especially as insomnia is as difficult to pronounce as N'Zogbia. It's not good when people who should cannot remember your name. "Ask Graham Taylor how he feels when he gets called Gordon Taylor. We are our name. "The word (insomnia) gives the media a stick with which to beat the lad." Utter f***ing bollocks. Fuck me I wonder what he thinks about Sir Bobby Robson then, hasn't Keegan mixed up a few names in his time at Newcastle. The PFA can be pricks at times, there is no mention about how disrespectful N'Zogbia has been by getting his agent and intrviews in France to state his desire, as it has been said, if he is that unhappy why doesn't he put in a formal transfer request.... also failed to mentioned his comments about not playing for newcastle again. What a wanker.

I fear Beattie will be the striker (something which we need!) that will fire stoke to survival.

Wow, N'zogbia is not going to be happy with Sky Sports now! http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/9058/zogek8.jpg
