  1. Surely the best recent example in England is Milner who has picked up a title and a European Cup since being released by Man City. Also Pirlo.
  2. "Can anyone think of any transfers in football history where the player was sold because their club didn't really want them anymore? My mind is blank."
  3. He has to be doing it deliberately at this point.
  4. Blackburn ffs. Thank God for Lincoln.
  5. Aye on target. I know what you mean but Kane and Fernandes take the free kicks, take the pens and basically both shoot every time they get the ball.
  6. They do it on all multiples, offer far better odds than they should according to calculators/other bookies. No idea why, I assume to encourage people to move to them. They’re very quick to limit accounts though, if you start winning. They needn't worry with me. Cheers, good to know. Got my eye on their boost on Kane/Fernandes 2 shots on goal each on Sunday, 8/1 seems outrageous value.
  7. Already had a couple of >30/1 winners on Betfair, glad I signed up. It's weird the way they calculate their odds, I just looked for tomorrow: Ward/Jorginho bookings on 365 are 4/1 and 11/4 respectively. On a bet calculator, that's 17.75/1. 365 offers 18/1 on a bet builder. Betfair prices are actually worse, 7/2 and 13/5, which equals 15/1, but the Betfair price for the double is massively better, at 23/1.
  8. Livingston haven't won away from home for about fifteen years but tonight they've hardly let Dundee United touch the ball ffs.
  9. What a strange career Drinkwater has had.
  10. Barkley's one of those players that was exactly at the level he should have been (Everton) but stamped his feet to get to a "bigger" club and ended up lower down than when he started, like Stewart Downing when he was desperate to get out of Villa to Liverpool despite not being good enough to play for Liverpool in a month of Sundays. Grealish made the right choice.
  11. Like that's in anyone's thought process when they jump for a header.
  12. Still bitter about Gravesen on Bernard.
  13. That tit Tony Gale I think. "On the brink of a red"
  14. Definitely yellow, he got a significant ban though.
  15. I'm not generally one for "if I'd done that in the street etc etc" but Thatcher was lucky not to face police action for that imo.
  16. Think I might get an account. I prefer to keep everything in one place but there's no sense in doing so when there's such discrepancy. I tested Kane goal/Jorginho and Hojbjerg cards in the game tonight (I know it'll be a Spurs second string) and it was 22/1 on 365, 45/1 on Betfair.
  17. Reds still count on 365 as a yellow despite that wording.
  18. Are the Betfair scorer/card odds generally much better than 365's? I don't have an account but thinking of opening one as the prices for bet builder type slips always seems miles better.

If you're a fan of the heavily saturated weekend recap genre, the Second Captains Monday release (which is free) is by far the best one. Today's episode is marvellous and not just because it contains a hilarious anecdote about Neil Warnock. Today's Ramble on the other hand was entirely void of anything interesting or insightful whatsoever.
  20. I find the discussion of a "natural position" of one's arm when jumping just plain weird. Every position is a natural position if that's how you jump. The only unnatural position of arms I ever see on a football pitch is when the defenders stick them behind their backs.
  21. Surprised they didn't have the Liverpool vs Arsenal game on that MOTD2 late drama montage, where RVP converted a penalty after about 95 minutes and Liverpool went straight down the other end, won another one and Kuyt converted it.
