Not so much "if we stick with Pards (cringe)", more if he sticks with the negative approach he has adopted since before Christmas. No reason he can't be more positive with these players. I think the problem recently is mentality more than a simple inability to get these players to keep the ball. We generally have some period in every game where we do play, even if it's for only ten minutes, it usually ends with us scoring at which point we retreat into our shells for the rest of the game.

And stupid. Spoling yourself with this ridiculous vendetta, man. If we werent performing like we are I'd be praising Pardew to the high heavens. I don't like the man but this is no vendetta. The first half was a lot better than we've seen in a while, very annoying that we made no attempt to keep it up in the second.

Hope Pardew took note that the possession for the goal was obtained from Ben Arfa robbing a Norwich player in our half.

Early days

Having seen the highlights, a great deal of the good stuff we did came from Cabaye, created two wonderful chances, got into the box and had a chance of his own, started off a lot of our attacks. Saying he had a poor game is such a load of absolute rubbish. Seems to be the people who are desperate to justify the manager's negative approach that are just dying to tell us that it's all the players' fault.

Yep I thought Cabaye was fine too.

Some of the time wasting was really embarrassing. I was going spare with Krul and Simpson on that free kick in the corner at the end when Krul started to come over to take it and the ref told Simpson to do it. Just get on with the fucking game ffs.

Deserves great credit for today's first half display. Had the sole attacking and defensive responsibility for the entire left hand side of the field and still managed to create two fantastic chances. That pass for Cisse to go through was gorgeous and the cross for the goal wasn't bad either.
